Just completed a nice walk along the High Peak Trail from Friden to Parsley Hay and stopped for break at Parsley Hay Refreshments. Great place to have a drink and watch people passing by on the Trail with stunning views of this great national park.
We did the walk to parsley Hay today, looked on this website to make sure it was open , the opening time said open till 4pm, the place was completely locked up, apart from toilets, please update your opening times, this just isn't on. There wasn't even a notice informing the public when it would be open disgusting really .
Good coffee, and great bacon and sausage cobs. Friendly stop off and also next to a cycle hire and shop, and a great view.
Great little stop off with amazing views. The food was beautifully made, fresh and very yummy, I Lots of choice for everyone, i recommend the Bakewell slice mmmm. ????
A big shout out to the two fantastic staff members inside the food kiosk. They were very helpful, extremely cheery, always smiling and very polite. The amazing service was very quick, we all had some amazing hot chocolates with all the trimmings lol and we ate our food on the benches right outside overlooking the wonderful view. Very relaxing, peaceful and great value for money. Will definitely be going back again.
I went to the kiosk yesterday with my children and the staff were two young girls, dealing with a picky 5 and 7 year old is usually a task in itself however the two young staff members were very helpful and provided a great service, the Bacon Cob was excellent and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their hot chocolates with a fast and friendly service. Excellent location for a walk with some stunning scenery from the seating area. Will most definitely be visiting again
Had to wait at least 10 minutes at the hatch just to be served a 500ml bottle of drink. The lady serving me was on her own with no other staff assisting when I arrived. Overall an OK place to stop and take a short break from cycling.
Nice little shop this located just past the end of the Tissington trail. Very well run with a good system. Loads of seating available. If you set off from Ashbourne or thereabouts you'll be glad of this stop as it's peddling all the way and all up hill!
Convenient and staffed by a friendly lady, but they do take advantage of their remoteness. £2.60 for a piece of clingfilm wrapped flapjack. That's a sit inside, heated and dry, with WiFi price, not a bench in the drizzle.
But, today at least, there was no queue, the tea was hot and the flapjack lovely, and the drizzle only light, but the cold was biting.
