Visited in the morning with my toddler in search of great coffee, which I found, along with a lovely cinnamon bun. Easily the best coffee I’ve had in Dunbar. Lovely modern, medium, fruity roast, perfectly prepared. Loved the vibe so much that I came back for lunch and had a really good salad, while I did a bit of work. Both breakfast and lunch menus are really excellent with plenty of choice but not worryingly big. Everything is clearly freshly prepared. The baking looked absolutely amazing and evidently all done on site. Lovely owner and staff. Dog friendly too. Looking forward to making this my new home from home.
Had a lovely lunch with the family. The special wrap and homemade soup. Was delicious. Also a children's sandwich and a delicious courgette and lime cake. Lovely chilled atmosphere and good service. Only a small children's menu but covers the basics of what the kids will eat.
I was in there today, dreadful. I waited 40 minutes for a wrap. The place was almost empty, so no excuses for being busy. One skinny piece of pastrami on the New York wrap, not much cheese either. Two young women working this morning didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the menu. Dirty cups and plates were left at tables after other customers had left, no attempt to clear up as they returned to the kitchen. Absolute rubbish. A cold bowl of couscous was served with the wrap, awful. Get a professional chef in the kitchen. I will not be back.
Lovely cosy friendly cafe with a great assortment of fresh, made on the premises cakes. Also have plenty vegan and gluten free options if required. Oh, and coffee out if this world! Haven't tried savoury menu yet, but looks amazing.
Really nice addition to Dunbar. Dropped in quickly to see what they had for lunch and bought a New York wrap to takeaway. They heated it for me on a panini press and it was fantastic. Very tasty and flavoursome. Will certainly drop back in with the family soon as they had a full menu with some interesting dishes. It's dog friendly too, which is excellent.
Called for coffee and carrot cake this morning. Coffee couldn't be better, lovely. But..... oh my goodneess, the so called carrot cake had no fruit and not a slightest bit of carrot in it what so ever! The thinnest topping I have EVER seen on the top! Warm cafe on a chilly morning but please improve your carrot cake as it was hopeless!
First time visiting this morning. I treated my dad and I to some breakfast. The cafe was so lovely, clean and friendly ladies serving us.
The food was delicious. Fresh bread and lovely bacon and fried egg.
I'll most definitely be back.
Two attempts to use the cafe and both failed. A week ago on Saturday, despite the information that it was open until 5, it was already closed after 4. Today it is open until 4, and at 3:30 drinks are available for takeaway only. When I asked if I could sit with my son and have drinks inside because it was cold outside, I was told no because they were cleaning. Maybe it's worth noting that one hour before closing, takeaway sales are only available? I probably won't come back.
