Another disappointed customer!
This shop benefits from having an ATM and Post Office inside, and therefore is obviously a favourite for Google when it comes to the request "where is the nearest ATM to me".
When I visited, I was politely greeted by a young lad. It was not his fault that there was no money in the ATM or that the Post Office was closed.
However, it might be good for him and any other member of staff to know that the nearest ATM to your shop is actually the SPAR 100yds away and not in Ullapool (42 miles away).
This is a great local supermarket store with post office and a local ATM machine inside it.

Horrible little woman working here. Why on earth she has chosen a career in a customer facing role is a great wonder. I popped in to get a few supplies and asked if there was anywhere to get some hot food around? Dismissively and ignorantly "no idea" was her response. Absolutely disgusting attitude. I feel sorry for anyone that has to spend time around this miserable person.
For what it is worth, there is a Spar shop 100yards down the road heading south. PLEASE take your business there!
Never in my life have I written a review, but the experience I had in this shop was so bad and bizarre that I felt the need to. I don't expect to get spoken to so rudely by someone when I am a customer in their shop giving them money. The way you accused me of something I clearly didn't do as I was buying rolls for my dinner after just coming down from a mountain, yet you continuously insist that I left some pathetic little barbecue outside your shop. Just because I am some young lad with a white van probably means I'm not seen as responsible as you, so you try to profile me as someone that would litter outside your tatty old shop. I may be young but showed much greater maturity on this occasion as you were constantly rude to me. You uttered the 'the cheek of some people' as I left. There is great irony in that, the cheek you shown to treat me as filth as I spent my money in your post office....
Great little shop, providing basics, local produce and quality empire biscuits. Very friendly and well placed.

It's a decent little shop selling essential groceries. The selection is not quite as extensive as the Spar in Durness but it still has a lot of things one might need. It could do with a bit of a tidy up and renovation inside as it doesn't provide the most inviting shopping environment. That being said you've not got any other options in Scourie so can't complain too much at least it's here.
Great local shop which stocks local produce as well as the main brands. Prices are very reasonable, particularly whig location in mind. Has a cash machine (no charge) which is super convenient as the ferry to Handa island is cash only! Lady who served was friendly and helpful!
