Pretty walks. Lots of paths leading to grottos, cascades, amphitheatre etc. Take photo of map as you go in unless you enjoy getting lost. Lovely autumn colours. Good walk in rain. Ideal for dogs. Very wet, need good footwear in autumn, winter.
Nice walk following a trail consisting of sculptures, art installations, grottoes, hermitage, boat, amphitheatre, fountains and more. Took about 1.5hrs to walk around. Would be nice if a little warmer for a picnic. There is a cafe and shop. Dog friendly on a lead.
Great walking around the gardens. Shame the house is fenced off. Will definitely be back when more plants out in bloom.
Have just visited for the 1st time, what a wonderful place, absolutely loved it. So peaceful & serene. Very reasonable too at only £4 (£3 for over 65). The Woodlands are simply stunning. Rather sad the big house is obviously unused & unloved. Must have been quite magical in its heyday. Good informative map, picnic tables & benches enroute. Main path good for puchchairs/wheelchairs. I think it's my favourite garden & I've been to many. Lovely olde worlde cafe, clean toilets, lovely gift shop. 5⭐
Stunning garden walk. Dog friendly, just pick up after them, dog bins are dotted around. Friendly staff, cafe and kids park. Also a little cave for the kids to explore. Definitely recommend a visit for families to picnic.
A real gem of a country park. The paths wind through lovely woodland along the stream and past various interesting pieces of artwork and installations. It's lovely and peaceful and a great way to spend a few hours. Tea shop looked busy although we didn't pop in.
Free parking, there's also a few disabled bays as well!
Cafe is always worth popping in, the staff are welcoming and friendly, they always have a smile on their face but please be patient with them as they only have a few members of staff and everything they do is fresh and well worth waiting for! Prices are fair.
Entrance into the park can be paid either in the shop or online before you arrive, current prices are...
Adult £4
Child £2
Family £10
Pensioner £3
There's craft shops in the courtyard.
Picnic benches dotted about as well as benches to sit and rest.
Beautiful place to wander around, some sculpture's and historical features with plenty of song birds.
£16 for a family of 4 to do the walk. Took a couple of hours. It's a really great walk, dog friendly and interesting things to see for the kids. Definitely worth a visot
