Best KPortal Reviews
I normally love shops like this and think it's important to support local business. I had intended spending quite a bit in the shop, but was spoken to so incredibly rudely by the member of staff that I left empty handed.
Reading the reviews, it would seem this is a more regular occurrence than any company should find acceptable. It costs you nothing to be polite to those who intend spending their hard earned cash in your shop.
Unfortunately, the day I came in my items were handled with bare hands. I did not witness any handwashing after the server had finished taking payment from the previous customer. No tongs used or other implements to transfer my items to the bags. Just bare hands…. And not just finger tips she used the entire hand to grab hold of the sausage rolls and pasties! She also touched herself and the other server whilst serving me again with her hands that she then handled my food with. Not hygienic in the least. The other server who was dealing with another customer was also handling the food but was wearing gloves ….. but she may well have not been because she was doing the same thing (touching lots of surfaces and handling payments) but with the gloves, so the only thing she was keeping clean was her hands inside the gloves! Still not hygienic Don’t know how they got that food rating!
It’s very sad because the food here is lovely with a nice old fashioned vibe.
Please use TONGS and stop handling the food!!!!!!!
I won’t be using them again. Rather go to Greggs because at least they don’t handle the food!!
We ordered a platter for 7 for a client lunch, and we're blown away. Incredible quality, presentation and taste. No one was left hungry and will be ordering for future meetings
I go each time for the scotch eggs, now they are the best! However the other products lack quality. The samosas aren't great, they're soft and too chunky in the middle. A smile goes a long way, and the lady didn't even bother. The food emporium in Astwood bank is the better place to go!
My mum and I brought a selection of sweet and savoury for an afternoon tea for the family. Sausage rolls and scotch were gorgeous. The lemon drizzle, rock cakes, bakewell tarts and chocolate flapjack all beautiful. Really tasty. Excellent quality. Keep up the great work ladies.
If you would like an overpriced, hard boiled, black in the middle and freezing cold scotch egg. With a side of horrendous attitude from the staff, this is the place for you!
Popped in today on my first visit to Alcester bought a cheese & bacon twist and its the best I've ever eaten. Can't wait to try the samosa I also bought. Lovely lady serving. Will definitely be back in my next visit
Beautiful and delicious little bakery to stumble across. They have cakes, pastries and pies, plus loads more. The food is really affordable for the serving amount.
I ordered a chicken samosa, small sausage roll and a small pork pie. All were totally and incredibly delicious. You can just taste in every bite how fresh and home made the food is.
I will definitely go back again and again and will recommend to all.
