Food - 10/10 no doubt about that! The beef tacos were to die for, the nachos were crisp, fresh and perfectly balanced with toppings and the burritos, well they are on a whole other level!
Service - slightly slow but to be excepted for such a new establishment that is finding their feet! The staff were kind, courteous and apologetic for the slow arriving alcohol licence. 4* service that I know will quickly raise to a 5 with more time!
Atmosphere - 10/10! A beautifully decorated restaurant, comfy seats, easily accessible location, great vibes! Will 100% be back!
Stopped off for lunch as I've waited years for a Mexican to come to Newbury so wanted to try it is soon as I was able. The food was fantastic, I had the vegan chicken burrito and it was very filling. Staff were really friendly and I loved that there was a separate alcohol free drinks menu. Tried the 0% wine and was surprised it was very nice. Would like more vegan desserts and milkshakes as there was nothing sweet for afters and reckon it should have proper Mexican music playing rather than general pop. Other than that it was amazing will definitely be back,. Are they on deliveroo yet?
The hopes of the entire town were banking on Newbury’s (first ever?) Mexican Restaurant and…. We can all breathe a sigh of relief - It’s absolutely superb! Quality, flavours, portion sizes, and an abundance of hot sauce options, Pachangas is a smash hit flavour sensation. The service given to our table of 7 was slick and paced nicely between courses and super friendly. To be able to see the kitchen from our table and the attention to detail in garnish and presentation of each dish was testament to the look and passion that went into each dish. A new regular spot for our family for sure.
What a place! Pachangas is what Newbury needed for a while now. Food is amazing! Even if you’re a fussy eater you can find something for yourself. Our order was so filling that we ended up taking half of it home. A small hint for everyone who’s light headed like me - be careful with the tequila milkshake ????
We had a lovely dinner in this new restaurant. Food was really delicious and tasty! The pinacolada was yummy-you can taste the alcohol , great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Would recommend this place.
Delicious food ,generous portions ,quick and friendly service . A lovely atmosphere would definitely visit again. I would recommend this place to everyone planning to visit .
We went on opening weekend, and the food and atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!
I have been really excited about this place and wasn't disappointed. The lack of alcohol licence meant that the meal was much cheaper than usual which is always a good thing (we took our own). The staff were lovely and kept a sense of humour although it was super busy. We had the tacos and fajitas - both which were delicious with a couple of bowls of the fries. We finished off with a portion of the churros which were lovely. Crispy, crunchy and sweet.
A really lovely place that I would recommend.
