Just got my annual servicing and MOT done and must say it was a breeze thanks to Cecil. He picked up and dropped off the car to my place and very kindly offered to squeeze the servicing on a Saturday morning despite having many pending jobs.
The prices seem reasonable and all issues were resolved satisfactorily. What I am especially grateful for is the fact that he diagnosed a problem accurately while just chatting with me, something that could have cost me a lot in diagnostics, had I taken the car to an authorised service centre. It turned out to be something I was doing incorrectly and so there was nothing wrong with the gear box or anything like that. ????
Highly disappointed with the communication and services, he is not a professional, he fixed one thing and permanently demaged another in my car without agreeing to fix it or take any responsibility, he gave me the car back with one plastic missing, screws was left on my car randomly and the part was missing, he never gave me my plastic cover back till today!
Do not recommend him to anyone...and hope better car engineers replace him cos we need good and trustworthy people in this kind of jobs ...
I brought my car here for diagnosis and eventually replacement of rear shock absorbers.
Post fitment of these 'new rear shocks', the same symptoms reoccurred, so I asked him to take a look. He then told me it was rear trail arm bushes. This confused me as I had explained it was the same issue he had diagnosed previously. So i got a second opinion from another mechanic to reveal only 1 shock absorber had been changed. Ofcourse Cecil rudely denied this and offered to refund the part he had charged me for and didn't fit. But sadly this never happened.
If you want a reliable, trusty mechanic. Look elsewhere. Cecil Is not the mechanic for you!

Very devious and misleading, after an emergency breakdown recovery, that he said he would be within 40mins 1 hours he arrived after around 4 hours!!!!
he then put a gear box in my car swearing it is compatible, took it to the official dealers, they checked it and said its definitely not compatible gear box, which caused further new problems in my car, which he refused to fix, went back to speak to him and he simply denied everything, including compensation!
When my car was there for checking he rushed me to pick it up and said he would go for a 2 month holidays, so when he came back I went to speak to him about all the checking's I did on the services he provided me and he had the audacity to say that too much time was passed by... So he knew he didn't do the right things in my car and said he would be away for 2 months so I wouldn't chase him so soon....Oxford deserves better that this, and hope he gets replaced soon, as no one deserves so much damages in the name of services, he is using his profession completely wrong and he seams very apathetic to costumers and their properties as he shows 0 costumer services care or responsibilities, can't believe he has been in services, but it doesn't seam he will continue to be, not with so much negligence!

Excellent service from Oxford Auto Garage! My car failed its MOT and Cecil provided me with a much better quote to complete the works than the quote generated by the testing garage. Cecil completed the job promptly which allowed me to re-test and successfully pass my MOT. Cecil went above and beyond in his service - my car battery was flat on the day I was due to bring my car to his garage. Cecil kindly came to my house, jumped my car, took it to the garage to complete the necessary works and delivered the car back to my house - all whilst I was at work! I can highly recommend this garage for excellent service, competitive prices and competence! Thanks so much, Cecil!
Firstly Cecil, he’s rude and arrogant. Secondly, I wouldn’t consider him a mechanic.
I dropped my vehicle BMW 525D F10 off for front discs+pads. The car was dropped at 9am, I received a call at 12:30pm to come and collect my car. My assumption was it’s ready, he didn’t explain nor tell me he didn’t replace them. Apparently because the discs are held on with an alley key bolt and it was too tight, I asked if he could break them and I would give him replacements but he said he didn’t have the time. Rubbish mechanic waste of time
Got in touch with Cecil for an MOT and service. My little car hasn't been coping well with hills recently and it was a relief to find the issue! Cecil was excellent and managed to squeeze in the MOT, service and the clutch replacement in just a few days. He came to collect the car and dropped it off, allowing me to carry on with work without worrying. He was also great at keeping me updated and was very friendly and explained everything throughout. Also great value for money. Will be going back if I need anything car-related in future. Thank you, Cecil!
