The best food in the borough of Great Yarmouth. Michael the Front of House and owner is exceptional and can’t do enough to please you. Always smiling, attentive and on hand when needed.
The steak is so perfectly cooked, soft and easy to cut. The flavours are exceptional I can’t recommend Othellos high enough

My husband and I ordered seafood platter and gammon. Amazing food, great service and friendly staff, its a must the food was amazing, we can't wait to return. Wish we lived local, but on a short break, will definitely be returning on our next visit, highly recommended. Thank you

We decided to book here for a meal last evening me and my partner.
The restaurant seemed quite busy so that was a good sign.
I had garlic mushrooms to start I have to say they were very oily as they were sitting in a bowl of garlic butter, the bread they were served with was just placed on top of the garlic butter so it was completely soggy!!
Other than that the starter was very nice and my partner had the crab claws.(also very nice)
For the mains my parter had fillet steak. (Absolutely perfect in every way)
I had the lamb.
My lamb was a 5 out of 10, certain bits were really tender and nice but other parts were extremely chewy and inedible. I actually left 3/4 of the Meal (they were very good and allowed me to plate the rest is up to take home for my dog)
After what appeared to be a great start to the evening a large group of girls turned up who where swearing effing and blinding and being ridiculously loud to the point me and my partner had to leave this restaurant as we felt so uncomfortable.
Definitely not the one for a nice quiet meal.
We were highly recommended this restaurant by our taxi driver as we came into Great Yarmouth for the weekend. We had booked to go to the Smokehouse the day later so we weren't sure if we fancied steak, but took a chance and so glad we did! The food was spectacular, honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. What really made the night though was the service. Our waiter was a delight, really genuinely good company, got on our level making jokes, was interested hearing about our holiday and made good conversation. This restaurant is a must visit for anyone in Great Yarmouth!
We stayed at a hotel not far from this restaurant. we booked a table for two never a again when we arrived we were taking to the back of the restaurant ask to take a seat even there was empty seats. there was a party of six waiting to be seated. we ordered before the party of six all six got there food before us. and the food wasn't worth waiting for should of refused to pay. the restaurant was very Very dated who ever done the painting well I could of done a better job with my eyes closed
Wow, what a night!! First time visited this establishment. We had a 50th birthday for my mother and the whole experience was exceptional. Michael the owner has allowed us to bring in a cake and balloons. Michael and his staff have decorated the table themselves it looked amazing. The staff are very polite and attentive naturally which makes it much more pleasant. The food is to die for, has to be the best restaurant in town. The quality of the food is out of this world. You get a choice of potatoes with your meal for free with vegetable garnish which is an addition as some places in town you order them separately. At the end of the night Theo the head chef (sorry if I got the name wrong) has came to our table and asked us if we have enjoyed our meals very polite and again clearly they care about their customers and their dining experience. Michael the owner has bought us a birthday drink on the house which was very nice of him. Will definitely be back.... Well done Team Othellos????????
What a fantastic meal, absolutely beautiful.
The Monkey Stake was exquisite, cooked superbly.
The plaice was the biggest I've seen served.
The seabass was first class too.
Huge portions of fresh sides.
Has to be Yarmouths top restaurant.
Michael and his staff were so welcoming and friendly.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
