Visited again twice came years ago and my Grandson remembered the lovely toastie he had so had to have again , good food.
An annex of the roundhouse cafe that houses the Osprey viewing platform and seating for when our usually fantastic Scottish weather isn't so fantastic.
Did not live up to expectations at all.
The Ospreys are barely visible even if you have perfect vision.The “viewing platform” doesn’t exist you simply go round the back of the cafe and hope for the best.
The cafe itself seemed to have zero stock and it took so long to try and get a coffee that we decided to leave it.
Would not waste your time rerouting to go here if heading along the east coast spend the time on a better experience as there’s plenty to be had!
Always lovely to sit in the relaxed casual atmosphere of the cafe, rain or shine, and view the hills. Great toasties, chips, coffee and very friendly service.
Amazing clear video link to the Osprey nest to see the chicks. Great drive down to Loch Doon, stopped for coffee and cake and the scenery was well worth it
Fantastic place. Great views of the Osprey nest. Food and coffee amazing. The owner and staff are so friendly.
Was there on Thursday 11th August, but after a long walk and needing some refreshments, it was closed, and being a very warm day and the area was very busy, have had being there the week before, the owner's excuse was he can't get staff, but he sacked them.
Great place, saw the osprey a few times whilst there, great welcoming staff.
