Amazing chip shop! The fish is always cooked fresh. Chips are perfect. Lovely friendly staff and a sweet little restaurant if you want to sit in.
Our favourite chips in London!
Olley's is a true delight! From the warm welcome to the heavenly aroma of fresh fish and crispy chips, every moment is a culinary joy. The fish is perfectly cooked, the chips are crunchy, and the portions are generous. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff complete the experience. A definite five-star gem for anyone craving authentic British cuisine!
Delicious. In my time, I've done quite a few fish and chips shops in around Southwark and the whole of London and this has been hands down the best. The fish was cooked fresh, as were the chips, the batter was nice and soft, and the proof was in the taste. Served piping hot Service was also friendly. Go and support a great chippy, folks. Closed on a weekend day, if you go after 6pm on a weekday you can avoid congestion charge.
The food was delicious and the people were really nice. The chips were good and it was really large. Best fish and chips place in London.
Massive portion of fries for only 3 pounds. They tasted great aswell
The quality can vary a bit, some days the chips are 5 star and other days they're refried and 1 star. If you go when it's quiet, ask them to cook a fresh fish and wait 10 mins for them to cook it - well worth it. It cost £9.50 for fish and chips in summer 2022. The regular portion of chips is massive. They take credit card payments including Amex which is good.
Update: I visited today in May 2023 and the prices have gone up since I posted the menu photos. Regular chips are now £2.50 so expect a 25% on other items too.
Exceptional Fish and Chips! Portions were huge and taste was outstanding. Only 10 minutes from the Thames - and worth the walk.
I ordered fish and chips and paid over £ 8. The fish flesh was very dry. The chips were so spicy that I felt as if they were eating frozen potato fries.
