There is an incredibly busy restaurant in London that is popular among the Chinese community. It stays open until 3:30 in the morning and has friendly staff who provide very fast service. The food served at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and some of the best Chinese cuisine that I've had in London. As always, the service is reliable, fast and welcoming. I highly recommend it!
Also there might be a bit of a queue on weekend late nights. They accept both cash and card payments so you won't have to worry about having the right type of payment on hand.
An extremely busy restaurant frequented by the Chinese community in London which is always a good sign. This is a no grills restaurant. The staff is friendly, the service is very fast and the food is absolutely delicious. Some of the best Chinese I've had in London.
I love how swift and lovely the service was! No wait time, they served us in under 3 minutes after ordering! And oh, the portions! They're great for the price! Absolutely loved the taste of the dishes! Wonderful place for some Chinese!
We were in a rush to get dinner and randomly picked this place.
We got the fish congee, shrimp toast, and morning glory with garlic. The food came amazingly fast. Congee was fine with plenty of fish and heavy on the ginger. The shrimp toast was greasy as expected. The morning glory was quite tender and flavorful although a bit on the salty side.
Overall food was good/typical.
Service was surprisingly outstanding.
As I mentioned, we were in a bit of a rush. I think we got in, ordered, ate, and paid, all within 20 minutes. The team here does not mess around and are super nice and on top of things!
We visited Old Town 97 during the very busy Christmas period and we were accommodated without a booking.
For lunch we tried several noodle (chicken and prawn) and rice (pork) dishes. We also had ordered some calamari and sea weed. All were very tasty.
The food came out very quickly and the staff were friendly at all times.
Would like to go back and try the duck and some of the other dishes which looked very tempting.
Stereotypical mid-tier Chinese - tasty and greasy. Where guilt and mild nausea follows later. My roast duck was suspect, but the dumplings and noodles were delish. NOT a fan of the gratuitous 10%+ service charge when it's the bare minimum of one - fast-paced, robotic, and curt. Overall, just good enough for a late night feed.
I can’t believe it’s only 3.6????? it’s definitely 4.5+ in my opinion. Guess Chinese restaurants between 3.6-3.8 are the best is true
Really really good and great portion
LSE fried rice is hidden but definitely the best fried rice I’ve had
Must try restaurant when in chinatown. Everything we ordered was really tasty yet not too expensive. Worth the queue!
