Beautifully renovated b&b with great management. It's self check-in and self service breakfast, but Jayne stays in contact from booking to check out and everything is clear, convenient and beautiful. Was able to recharge my body and car(EV charging available overnight upon request, which is so convenient on holiday.) Will come back, and would definitely recommend to others.
I was in the area for just one night on a work trip and unexpectedly needed a room for the night and was really pleased with this lovely B & B. I was a little nervous as I was travelling alone.||I had the rather lovely garden room on the ground floor which was beautifully decorated, had an en-suite, was roomy with a very comfy bed - I slept like a log! I felt completely safe the room has french doors on to a patio garden area, which are veery strong and sturdy - very secure. The ensuite has a gorgeous large newly fitted shower cubicle, is well lit, light and airy.||Breakfast was amazing and Jayne was so lovely and friendly, checking I was comfortable and happy with my stay.||I would highly recommend this lovely quiet spot, and hope to stay there again.
Beautifully renovated and absolutely immaculately clean. Breakfast room with everything for continental brekky. Lovely hosts. Totally recommended.
Very welcoming host, everywhere was spotless, in fact its the cleaniest place I have stayed! Breakfast was superb, excellent quality. Our room had French windows that led out to a patio area and then on to the open gardens, lovely relaxing area for a cup of coffee. Ideal location to explore the nearby coast. Fantastic B & B.
A bit of a disappointment. Our room was extremely small; we hardly had room for 2 open suitcases. The B&B is located in what felt like the middle of nowhere with virtually no decent restaurants around. It is self-check in and we saw no hosts at all other than the woman who made our breakfast. I assume she is one of the owners but since she didn’t chat to us at all, I’m not quite sure. While there is nothing crazy wrong with this place, I would not put it at the top of my list and, in hindsight, we wish we had driven a little farther to find a better accommodation.
Our son has recently relocated to Pencader and we were planning a visit. Having researched a 5-mile radius around where he lives, we chose the School House B&B. The building itself is not only promoting sustainable renewal technologies but is stunning; it has been sympathetically converted into a home and B&B. Lots of historical features have been kept. The host/owners were very warm and welcoming. We were shown to Room 1 which was newly refurbished and opened onto a small courtyard where you could sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The room and ensuite were immaculately clean and very nicely presented with crisp linen/towels. Breakfast was a delight. Good quality ingredients and freshly cooked. Without question this was a great find and perfect for all future visits to Pencader.
An absolutely wonderful little B&B in unique settings, beautifully done out and with super friendly staff. Our only gripe is that the bedroom was far too warm: the thermostat told us it was 25°C in the middle of the night with the window open, which made it impossible to sleep through most the night. Thankfully a really tasty breakfast has made up for it and set us up for the day ahead.
Clean, warm, friendly, beautifully decorated. Fantastic cooked breakfast and hosts. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Bed was very comfortable with fresh cotton linen. French doors onto a cute patio with table and chairs an absolute delight
