Reading the poor reviews once we had already ordered I was a little concerned. However pleasently surprised.
Food and service we're good (not award winning but good). Excellent location but no toilet. All in all a solid review for a tired and hungry family ????. x4 fish and chips + x3 curry sauce with soft drinks.
The best fish and chips I've had in years., excellent quality fish and the batter was cooked perfect not to thick or greasey. Was fantastic to find a chip shop that still rumbles there own chips and gorgeous they were to . Compliments to the owners ,can't wait to try them again .
Great Fish and Chips, just how it should be. Every time I come to Brid, I make a bee line for this Chippy. Perfect batter with perfect fish, great tasting chips too. Love it.
Ordered before most people in the restaurant...got our food the last. Waited over 45 mins for drinks to arrive and over 1 hour for food to arrive. Would never go back shocking service. The young guy was rude when we asked how much longer he said "you will get it when you get it you'll have to wait like everyone else" baring in mind most already received their food extremely rude ????
Im only giving a 1 as i have to rate a star. The order took ages the beans were bought in from farmfoods by the owner the fish and chips were twice cooked in old horrible tasting batter and the rice was microwave rice. Over priced and also some of chips were raw inside....horrid place get gordan ramsey in to sirt it out!
We went in on Saturday and sat in the restaurant we didnt get everything we ordered the young lady that fetch food out was really rude and when spoken to rolled her eyes they put cutlery right infont off baby and was really snappy
When we first came in I had to wipe my own table whilst the girl watched with no offer to help, went to order and the girl was extremely rude, no care to be there whatsoever. Brought food out had to ask for cutlery and had wait for 10 minutes while our food sat going cold. Had to ask for ketchup multiple times. Then once they had finished with us they went straight outside on phones. Rubbish service but we did complain and the woman in charge did take this really well. Good food but needs better more reliable staff in the restaurant side
Well this is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Even if Gordon Ramsey was there he probably would have given up sorting that shenanigans out!
Fish and chips shouldn’t take long to make but this time I think they were trying to achieve the Guinness record for the longest food serving taking over an hour for 2 average fish&chip, chips and kids fish&chips. My meal came first and my partners meal and the kids came 10 minutes later. We wanted to leave the place with all the waiting but we’ve already paid for the food before it was too late to walk away.
I felt sorry for the girl working there which I overheard she was only 14 but sorting complaints out on her own and dealing with a high amount of customers is atrocious was definitely poor management from the business and I’m pretty sure it’s illegal for a 14 year old girl to be serving alcohol to customers.
The worst of all the toilets looked like Texas Chainsaw Massacres slaughter house flys everywhere, the public toilets are cleaner and they’re free!
Take your business elsewhere and don’t bother setting foot in this establishment as you would be disappointed.
