Great cod and chips, probably one of the best I've tried.
My Wife and I had just finished a 5hr drive to stay at the travel lodge 3 minutes away. We looked at the reviews and were skeptical but wanted to try it out.
She had a quarter pounder cheeseburger with chips and I had big battered sausage, savaloy and chips.
Perfect portion sizes very friendly owner and oh wow the food!... the chips were perfect, not greasy at all, had a nice crispness to them and tasted amazing.
Savaloy was lovely and the battered sausage had the most amazing perfectly golden batter and again no grease.
My Wife says the burger was super tasty and not greasy at all.
Highly recommended and wish we lived closer!

Just popped in here on the way home from a day trip as was hungry and had a while before my train. A quick Google revealed favourable reviews so we went in. The gentleman serving was absolutely lovely; Incredibly friendly and great with my son. Service was efficient and we both enjoyed devouring an excellent fish and chip lunch on the train home. Would highly recommend!
Been looking for 3 years since moving to Eastbourne. Our Fish shop in Surrey was great. Tried a few and been disappointed until we tried Ocean. Fabulous fish and chips. Friendly service and great food. We will be regular customers and recommend them highly.
The best fish and chips in Eastbourne. Lovely freshly cooked fish. I've tasted hi better and I eat out alot. It is also inexpensive and big portions. Small f and c only 4:95 can't beat that anywhere

Staying in Eastbourne i found Ocean fish and chips.
Looked a bit dated outside but once inside I found the owner charming and exceptionally helpfull.
Service was exceptional , food was great, well cooked and plenty of salt and vinegar!!!
