You can eat seafood while looking at the sea view and smelling the sea. This is definitely an unforgettable experience. The seafood tastes fresh. The staff are very friendly. When you queue up, you can see the continuous influx of customers. I came twice, the first time ordered oysters, scallops and razor clams and a crab sandwich to take out, the scallops and razor clams were hot, the scallops were great but the razor clams had sand in them, almost every one had sand, I didn't like the lack of them Clean seafood. I ordered a breaded crab for the second time. There is a price for each crab, so you can choose how much you want to eat. The crab cannot be heated and can only be given a small jar of melted butter. The crab meat is delicious and the crab roe seems There are too many, which makes people feel very greasy. Generally speaking, oysters and scallops are worth eating, but the rest depends on personal preference.
I located this great place on a Google search of the area before leaving for our trip. I then connected with them on Facebook, went through the time that they were closed for the winter and then they’re reopening.
All of that, following and checking and seeing what they had was totally worth it! This was absolutely the best seafood we had on our entire three week trip around Scotland.
The food is outstanding, the service was friendly and quick. And the prices are ridiculously good. The same plate of muscles that cost us about six dollars was $15 at every restaurant around there. We had a crab sandwich, a prawn sandwich, and an order of muscles. The whole thing set us back a little over 17 pounds. The portions are amazing and everything comes out super quick.
If you were in Oban, be sure to have some food from the seafood hut! Oh, they are a cash only place, so have some in hand. And, if you don’t a bank, ATM is a short walk away… We found that out because we needed it. ????
Really looking forward to having their seafood platter but they had a limited menu in November.

Loved the chowder and the mussels are the best I have ever had!
They told me they are closing for the winter this Sunday and will only reopen in March.
The seafood is fresh tasty and the oysters are really a big one. Although there is not many seat, we really enjoy our meal in sea breeze under sunshine.

Cash only, runs out of many things later in the day. Come early! Don’t believe hours online, they change. Small seating area available but often full as this is a popular spot - on a sunny day you’ll have plenty of options but at least there is some covered seating on-site for rainy days, squish up and watch for seagull thieves. Fresh as can be seafood and great value for the price!
Good food, good service and too bad we didn’t had time to try everything. We got there 20 min before closing so we had the mussels, scallops and smoked salmon.
Very good seafood at a good price. You have to be patient to queue up for ordering the food, but it should not take too long. They are serving both cold or hot food. There are only limited seats or standing place with shelter, that can be difficult if it is raining. But definitely worth to go if you want to have some fresh and good seafood that is not easily found in UK.
