I like to attend this pub on a Friday evening. I have been there four times. I drive down to the pub from Bath. It is without doubt the friendliest and atmospheric pub I've ever visited. Simone the landlady is extremely welcoming and friendly. The drinks are great and the music fantastic. It's worth the long drive from Bath. Must be one of the best pubs on the planet.
Fantastic old original pubs like these are getting very hard to find. Go there if you like quirky, quant and queer places but don’t if you read the Daily Mail! We loved the whole shebang including the Land Lady and friend Alan who even acted as our private chauffeur to and from our campsite for a small fee. The food we had was huge and tasty pub grub and the ale and cider selection great. Great experience, thank you!
A proper unspoilt old-fashioned pub in the countryside. Warm and cosy. Bar food available. Open most of the day. Some good beers and ciders. Friendly service. Went in for a drink and crisps only.
Lovely old pub with loads of character. We have been meaning to visit for years but it's always been shut. Not now, the new landlady Simone told us she is open all day. We stopped for food which was very reasonably priced. I had a pint of prawns which I haven't seen for years since I lived by the seaside. My husband had fish with hand cut chips. The food was great. The new owners are really friendly and welcoming and it's super dog friendly. Well worth a visit
Had an amazing week stay at this gem of a pub nestled on the edge of Dartmoor.
I strongly recommend a visit ! There is few pubs like this still around and the atmosphere is second to none. Our host was friendly, helpful and informative. Loved every second and will be returning!
Absolutely everything a rural pub should be . Pubs like this are much more rare than they used to be. It is perfect. The host is a star.
I know how difficult it is to run a pub, and I want to support the Northmore Arms so I'm giving it my highest recommendation. But selfishly, I hope it doesn't get too popular! (It's tiny). More importantly I hope Simone lives for many good long years, continues to run it so beautifully, and that they DON'T TRY TO "IMPROVE" IT AT ALL.

Sharing platter had was delicious and plenty for the two of us also being very reasonably priced.
Great country pub. As ‘local’ as you will find anywhere. Choice of cask ales and wide food selection. Worth a visit when walking on the moors
