Really friendly and helpful staff! Great food- we had very tasty and well-filled sandwiches on fresh sourdough. Paprika seasoned chips were excellent. Several vegan choices too, which is always good to find. The cakes looked amazing, but I didn't have room for one :0)
Thanks guys!
I popped in for a light bite, but as it was rather late in the day, I had missed out on most of the cake options. Fortunately, what was left was delicious, I chose an almond and blackberry cake slice and a suffolk tea blend...tea and cake in other words.
The staff were very friendly, and the service was quick, but I did just have tea and a cake, so I can't comment on larger, more substantial food options.
The aesthetic and atmosphere is excellent, and as a testament to this, a variety of age groups were at the cafe at the same time as me, all clearly enjoying their experience.
There is also a small deli counter, which offers local cheeses and preserves, I can personally recommend the blueberry jam!
Many thanks to the great female shop assistant on 22 March 2024 who offered without us asking to replace one of our takeaway coffees that we accidentally knocked over on the bench outside the store. A great example of good customer service. Oh and the tiffin slice was wonderful and the flat white coffees excellent and good value..
Having done some research about cafes before visiting King’s Lynn for the first time, I decided Norbury’s looked good based on the photographs and reviews.
The interior was lovely and the seating comfortable. However, the food and coffee were below expectations. The coffee was quite weak (though presented nicely) and the brioche bun was very dry (it had a cardboard texture) - making me think that it was maybe a day old rather than freshly baked that day. Consequently, it wasn’t a pleasant eating experience and I wouldn’t return. It was also disappointing that there wasn’t an option to have an egg with the sausage and brioche bun I ordered as the dry bread to sausage ratio meant it was mostly bread. £3.20 for a latte seemed a bit steep too (even taking inflation into consideration) - especially as it wasn’t a great coffee.
Lovely owners, perfect customer service. The food is made to perfection and the portion sizes are brilliant for the price. Couldn’t go anywhere else for bakery items as they are amazing here.
Lovely staff, could not be more helpful. Food was delicious - good vegan options - and coffee was lovely. A must visit for lunch in the town.
Excellent bacon bap, lovely. Coffee was so so, the vanilla latte was mostly vanilla and it wasn’t the best quality coffee. Seems like a decent quiet alternative to the main chains though.
One of my favourite lunch spots! Delicious, fresh cakes/breads. The sausage rolls are a favourite! The staff are welcoming and friendly - it’s well organised and a great asset to kings lynn town centre!
