Staff lovely, nice surroundings, awful full English breakfast, reminiscent of a 1970’s truck stop breakfast… swimming in tinned tomato’s and beans, burnt toast, defrosted hash brown but not cooked, mushrooms in their own watery liquid and inedible bacon? I’m not quite sure if it was supposed to be bacon,once..However, the sausage was nice but the presentation was so off putting I didn’t manage more than a few mouthfuls. A staff member did offer to replace the breakfast but it should not have come out like that to begin with.
Had a few cocktails a snack and cake here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a gift voucher which they'd not dealt with before, staff were welcoming and helpful. Cocktails were well above average for the area, cake was amazing. Recommend the happy hour deal if you're on a budget as the cocktails are £10-12 each.
Was a bit worried about going after reading some of the reviews (baring in mind there were only a couple of reviews in total due to it being so new) but honestly it was lovely. I’m not a fan of Costa, so generally drive out to Starbucks at Caenby Corner for my fav coffee, but will definitely be coming here instead! The staff were lovely and friendly, the place was beautifully decorated and clean, we had a beaut Chocolate and Banana cake, and my 20 month old had a babychino, which was lovely for him, and I had a Oat Cappuccino (so glad they have dairy alternatives as so many local coffee places don’t). They didn’t complain that he was running around trying to touch things in there, so definitely seems child friendly. We didn’t have cocktails but they looked amazing and we’ll be coming back to try them at some point. Chairs were super comfy, and we were greeting and said thanks to when we left. It’s a nice little place, I really hope it stays open!
This is genuinely the worst breakfast I have ever had and that includes ones at a roadside greasy spoons.
The beans and tomatoes were cold, the meat was cheap. No mushrooms and a soggy hash brown.
Honestly felt like they had popped across to Lidl and bought the cheapest food possible to then charge £12 for a breakfast which is more expensive than nearby venues which sell free range lovely produce.
Should have complained and asked for money back however the staff did not seem overly friendly or interested and couldn’t be bothered to argue.
Will never go here again.
Food is not amazing, but we have only had the sandwich, so I shouldn't really commit on the food to be fair. We do love going here. The cocktails and coffee are amazing, and there are many cakes and savoury snacks to choose from.
Coffee is amazing if you like it strong like I do ???????? the food needs improvement in my opinion. Been here a couple of times for lunch the first time I had the bacon brie and cranberry pani it was terrible not actually sure how you get that wrong but they definitely did. The second time I thought I'd play it safe with a cheese and onion toasted sandwich, to be honest it was rubbish flavourless like they use cheap ingredients maybe. I will keep going back for the coffee, just won't have food. ????☕☕☕☕????
Me and my partner had a wonderful time Saturday evening, Dave and Michelle was excellent host. We was able to order Indian curry and eat in. Very accomadating to say the least. You can order your food to be delivered at No 17 while you enjoying your drinks. Good company great atmosphere. Very friendly. Absolutely ???? fabulous. Just had a breakfast was absolutely amazing will definitely come again old cook seems to have been sacked!(thank god) Owner was very welcoming
And had much to say about the build your own burger which I'll have to try next time
