Best KPortal Reviews

I have had a life threatening illness with complications. The service I have received under Dr Parkes from surgeries in Louth and Tetford have been exemplary. Appointments have been easy to organise with home visits and referrals for specialist treatment in medical centres all over the Midlands often on the same day as diagnosis. I have been treated with care and respect throughout. I couldn't reccomend the practice more highly.
I know the NHS is on it's last legs, but if complaints and reviews are not listed, it will never affect change. I have to rate this place so low because it's simply mismanged and incapable of coping with the volume of patients. Every time I call at 08.00 I am placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time, only to be told by a clearly stressed out receptionist that all the appointments are gone. You call back the next day and it's the same all over again. I commend the nursing staff and doctors that I have seen here, they do a good job and don't deserve the negativity, but the reception staff could certainly do with a lesson in manners or go find another job. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place. RIP NHS
An adddition to this 10 months later. I got referred for MRI scan by this practice September 2023. Got no results, despite the hospital confirming they were sent. Practice claim they haven't got them, and told me to chase results myself with hospital. Hospital resent results, but it's now 3 months later and I still haven't had any results from the practice. If you have a choice, DO NOT register here.
I belong to the Tetford surgery which is excellent but sadly was amalgamated with this surgery under the East Lindsay Medical Group
Every time one needs to make an enquiry it goes through to the Louth central switchboard resulting in rude, untrained or incompetent staff.
The latest saga involves important medication under advisement of a hospital consultant and time sensitive. The medication has to be issued by the surgery. Firstly they deny receiving the correspondence from the consultant and after contacting the hospital I was armed with the proof it was sent. Only then did they then say it was received but needs to be processed. I rang the next day to eventually talk to a receptionist who told me to contact the dispensary and basically hung up on me. She just didn’t listen to what I was politely saying. So I have just driven to Tetford surgery where they were as helpful as they could be but little could be done because at 3pm on a Friday, all the team that does the processing to include their managers were gone for the day at the Louth surgery. Just disgraceful and if any partner or practice manager is reading this then please get rid of this amalgamation or at least let Tetford be responsible for processing issues relating to their own patients. It was a sad day when you joined the East Lindsey Medical Group!
I have found the hole service there terrible been trying to make an appointment and you can't altho the nurse said to go to counter when I had blood test I find the receptionist not help full at all and the hole practice needs a good over hall
I had ecoli, strain was reportable to department of health, the nurse practitioner said if symorins persist then get an appointment. The receptionist who read my notes out, likely in front of people at the desk is aware of this. I asked for an appointment can't book on advance I rang in morning was full, I rang and rang, spoke to receptionist basically got told tough so 3 weeks later and still suffering I am unable to see a doctor. I am hoping that it doesn't cause me kidney damage as to get scanned I need a referral from gp and I can't get appointment see one
My partner rang in the morning about our 2 month old. She was told that there was no appointments and that a crying (in pain) baby is not an emergency. I understand that louth is growing with limited access to GP surgery's but this is getting ridiculous. They also fail to send my partners prescriptions through correctly on a regular basis
Received a call back from the receptionist who was told of my chest infection, only to be refused an appointment or telephone call from a clinician, told to go to hospital or call 111 “if you don’t like it”…shameful lack of care , quite disgraceful….and there’s nothing you can do about it!
Advertising under false pretenses.
They claim to be a doctor's surgery, however no doctor is ever available.
They claim to be able to help. They never help. Only hinder.
This surgery used to be the best in the area. Nowadays it's a disgrace. The receptionists are hostile and try to use patients frustrations as an excuse to end calls and even goad patients into arguments by referring to them in bad context.
What was once a huge asset to Louth is now a drain on NHS resources and should be investigated for being a shambles.
