Went for a scan. Went to ultrasound reception. It was unmanned but had several signs saying take a seat. Someone will come and see you at your appointment time. What is wrong with putting a sign saying if you haven't been to the main reception you won't get seen? They have enough signs saying take a seat. A clinician will see you at your appointment time. Apparently they phoned me on my mobile to tell me not everyone carries their mobile phone. That is not a fix. Just one extra sign please. What a waste of money for the NHS. If I could give it a zero star I would.
I'm happy with the services so far, I've been with these GP services for the last three years. Always getting a requested help, from my experience they were always flexible, even had few appointments on Sunday which is very important for me as I'm a full time worker and it's challenging for me to go for appointments on the working days. Receptionists were helpful as well, they always helped with subscriptions over the phone or the required information, there is also a pharmacy shop in the building so all in one place. The place itself is in a good location, has parking and is clean and well maintained.
Reading the reviews won’t disappoint you. Lazy, unproductive, dismissive, and poor-mannered receptionists: you will be made to feel like you owe them something for daring to visit the practice.
They referred me to the pharmacist for a diagnosis: Marc, or Mark. A busy man, judging by how fast he wanted to be done with me and his cherry-picking of the described symptoms to “prescribe” me some £10 cough sweets that have me, three days later, in A&E with worse symptoms and a chest infection.
Not expecting them to change based on the appalling and embarrassing feedback they receive. It is what one can expect when your taxes pay for the service. Pouring external money instead of having skin in the game protects you from the consequences of your lack of seriousness and pitiful service.
I've been at this surgery for 1.5 years and all I can say that the service is superb extremely polite and professional staff and one of the best doctors I've ever had Dr L Spurell highly recommend her if anyone is interested in joining this practice oh and I must mention Angelique (staff member) is fantastic!!
I would like to give a shout out specifically to Dr.Rydel at this Medical Center who has been extremely supportive and understanding of my daughters very complex health situation. Where other so called professionals acted in a disgustingly unprofessional manner regarding my daughter’s case.(it’s been a real nightmare for us for the past few months due incompetence and frankly laziness of a bunch of healthcare workers across the NHS in Manchester) Thank you for being competent and staying a genuine compassionate human being while being a part of this broken system that is the NHS these days!
I will say however that the receptionists at this place have the worst attitude and a huge ego problem! They keep repeating that they’re not medical professionals yet they try and make decisions for you wether your problem is serious enough the doctors time! Incompetent and arrogant! Zero compassion!
I recently met Dr. Dario Rydel. After two visits with him I am incredibly impressed with how professional and attentive he is. If only all GP’s could be like this!
The ladies on reception are a credit to the surgery. The doctor and nurses l see are excellent professionals.
