Friend took me here last night on a Xmas trip up to Swad for an impromptu curry night and have to say was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The red onion pickle tray pot is a delight and my garlic chilli chicken was delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly and very well spiced. Would deffo eat there regular if lived nearby.
The staff couldn’t do anything more to help… bloody brilliant and the manager was like a greyhound… I put my empty plate in the table and he was already there to take it away… I really couldn’t find a fault at all… that good I’ve already booked a table for tomorrow… ????
Ordered to pick up last night, first time trying this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. Upon picking the food up, the restaurant was so busy which was such a good sign. I could see that service was fast, the staff genuinely were on the ball and really cared. We got our order a little late- but it was worth it because the food was freshly cooked and order was perfect and as ordered.
Most beautiful indian food we've ever had. I had chicken tikka masala and it was absolutely unreal. It can't be compared to anything I've had before, just 10/10. The bombay alloo were also the best we've had, will definitely keep coming here and recommending you to anybody!
Will have to sit in next time. If you enjoy Indian Cuisine and love fresh, decadent food. This is for you.
Tasty, hot and fresh!
I never usually fancy an Indian takeaway as I find them bland but word of mouth told us to try New Swad and I’m so glad we did!
It was piping hot when delivered and it was so tasty. Lots of fresh herbs, chilli and garlic. Tender meat and the naan breads were so soft and full of flavour.
The guy who took our order over the phone was super friendly and gave me recommendations and the delivery driver was lovely.
We won’t go anywhere else now. 10/10
Well, we have used new swad many times, both to eat in and take away.
Ok tonight was a busy night, but we went and waited 15 minutes and still didnt get our order taken. People who didnt seem to of booked got a table and other people seemed to be of more prority, even people who had ordered some 45 minutes prior to us arriving still had not recieved their order, even when we decided to leave as no one had even said they would be with us in a while, they didnt seem too bothered. So much for customer care !!
Great food, service is good but the staff seem to prioritise the take away orders, and the attentiveness on the restaurant is then not so good, slight mistake on our bill which took 15 minutes to correct, but it was corrected but no apology for their mistake, will still go back but always go at 6pm before the take away orders pick up or you end up waiting, the owner is a lovely man always give you a big welcome, but he goes into the kitchen presumably to help cook the orders. Highly recommended for the food but go early.

Im adding the following to this previous review. This place cannot seem to open on time lately!!! Very disappointing and left me standing outside the shop in the rain. Not impressed. Food is good but being late is not acceptable. Also why open so late? People usually have dinner from 5pm onwards?!
Food is fantastic and even loved by my partner who's usually fussy with curry.
