First time for this Chinese restaurant.
Was very surprised at the quality of the food. Also, it was still hot by the time I got back.

Try the green pepper garlic and black bean sauce dishes the sauce is rich and full of flavour not wishy washy like a lot of the others this is the best I've tasted in a long time delicious.

The pancake rolls are also very good here.

Popped in here today and ordered a Beef chop suey and chicken fried rice, both nicely cooked the chop suey was loaded with fresh vegetables and plenty of tender pieces of beef, the rice was soft and lightly fried without to much soy and contained plenty of good sized pieces of chicken, the service was friendly and prompt.????
I paid £9.90 for my meal.

This place changed owners awhile ago any personally I think that the quality of the food has improved under the new management. ????

New Star has always been our favourite Chinese takeaway, the sweet & sour king prawns and the roast duck dishes along with the special fried rice or young chow fried rice.
I know their prices are slightly higher than most but they deliver the food hot & tasty.
The drivers are friendly. I will always us this takeaway as I used to use it throughout the 70s when I lived in the area.

Brilliant takeaway! Good hot food, great taste and good portions. Definitely recommend it. We had beef and mushrooms, sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, chips and curry sauce. All very good and plentiful. Will be visiting soon.
When I ordered under the last owners the food was terrible.
When I found out about there being new owners, I tried their food and the food was absolutely amazing, the lady was also very nice. The taste was absolutely spot on, would definitely order from here again. 10/10!
Food was very fast to arrive, maybe too fast! Unfortunately
the food tasted dry, bland & stodgy, can only assume was re-heated from a previous occasion as we ordered early on a Tuesday evening. Will not be ordering from here again.
Without a doubt, the worst Chinese takeaway ever! Flavourless egg fried rice and Singapore noodles, empty spring rolls, bland Szechuan duck and insipid chicken satay! Crispy chilli beef was crispy but too sweet, however, the salt and pepper prawns were nice and the prawn crackers were fine. We won’t be returning here!
Odered from here twice first time bbq ribs were just fat on bones , rice very salty, curry was so watered down it was horrendous. We thought we would oreder again a few years later and it was again disgusting to say the least please don't waste your well earned money here
