Visited on a Thursday lunchtime. Got to the entrance which is wheelchair accessible and was helped with the door. A staff member helped create a space for the wheelchair at a table
What a warm, friendly pub this is. I'd not been in for a few years but still great. Only came in for one but ended up staying much longer
Very well kept drinks and the place was very clean and tidy. Seems very popular and busy all afternoon.

Great place to visit.
Delay with food 45mins+ as they had to go to the shop for more sausages (husband ordered sausage mash and peas) however we were not informed of this until we asked about the delay. When the food finally came there was not enough gravy (merely a drizzle and I had ordered pie, mash and mushy peas which would have been extremely dry) so I requested more gravy which was another 15mins meaning my food had cooled down considerably. So that is why I have marked low. I would think about a separate jug of gravy with the dish rather than people having to ask. I think common courtesy would be to inform customers of any delay.
Booked for a Christmas meal with friends and the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Such friendly staff. Great desert for me who is lactose intolerant. Was great to eat cheesecake without compromising the taste.
Nice quiet pub (on a Monday afternoon). Only had a single cask ale, but it was one I hadn't had before. Pool table, and nice seated area out back.
Went in this pub 24 hours earlier and asked if food was available on new years day. Yes was the reply. Asked if tnt sports was on to watch our team on tv yes was the reply. New years day no food was available so we had a drink and waited for the football on tv .nothing we asked several times but it seemed to be hard work with dialogue. Hospitality skills zero.
Normally food good, but the " large fish and chips " was a minute fish, this was replaced. Unfortunately plenty of effing going on, so not a nice atmosphere .
Popped in for lunch as we were passing through. Food was good, can't say anything about atmosphere as it was lunch time and only 5/ people in
On DJing the 23rd of December Xmas party I found the landlady Lucy and staff very friendly and helpful the Locals which were many were very enjoyable Company and Pleasent this pub is very friendly and sociable would recommend it to anyone in the area would go back anytime.Chris B.
