Love this place, especially as there aren't many good Chinese takeaways to choose from. But, would like a little less 'fill-ins' like onions & bamboo shoots etc... and a little more meat. However, they are generous with their prawns in their chow mein and rice dishes. Thank you.
Id love to share my experience, but, unfortunately, your advertising notice about cookies etc covers everything so i can't do it, good to know that advertising is more important than good food
Been here many times and the latest visit once again didn't fail us. Good value food enjoyed by all. What I would say is if you're not big eaters, it would be a good idea to share rice if you can. Delicious take away food enjoyed by our whole party..
Used to be really good, but recently gone right down hill tasteless !! , chicken dry, like left overs heated up, ended uo throwing half ofnuf away,chef or recipes must if changed, and prices gone up winr be going back
Today I’ve woken up with the worst stomach pains ever after eating food from Nanking Garden yesterday evening. The chicken seemed a little tough and the chips looked fresh but didn’t taste too fresh and the egg fried rice was definitely not fresh. I would never go back here nor would I recommend it to my worst enemy I actually regret eating it but after spending money and being hungry I ate it and didn’t expect anything to be wrong having been there many years ago when the food never made you unwell and tasted much better. The food they use is either from the cheapest supplier they can find and/or it’s old and reheated. Having travelled a lot and eaten at many places I can only put this down to poor hygiene in food preparation or old/reheated poor quality food. Many years ago Nanking was a good place to eat from but it’s definitely gone downhill and if I could rate it 0 I would. If you really want some good Chinese food I’d recommend Hoo Tak in Mapperley or Peking house across the road from it - there is also no point in complaining to Nanking as their service is shocking and they just don’t care - they will say that they can come and collect their food without refund if you don’t like it - abysmal. They also only want cash so they’re definitely dodging taxes - again Don’t Go - Go elsewhere and save your money time and health most importantly - as today I’m doubled over with a stomach ache
Ordered chips which were older than me, Chicken balls which got stuck in my throat and the rice was inedible. Daren't try the prawn crackers

The food is amazing. The portion sizes are very generous. They don't skimp on king prawns in their dishes. The prices of the dishes are cheap especially when you take into consideration the amount you get. Would highly recommend a visit. ????????
just been to nanking garden, wow the service was excellent, was my first time there and won't be the last, the spare ribs are to die for. Best I've ever had. give them a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed.......
