A characterful, traditional pub with the warmest of welcomes and really good, tasty food...and plenty of it! We are booked into for the Sunday lunch this weekend and thoroughly looking forward to the experience. The meal sounds delicious. I know its going to be a regular stop when we are in that area.
A wonderful find whilst staying in area for a long weekend, a traditional un spoilt country pub. Had the Sunday roast lamb which was great big portion of well cooked meat with proper roast potatoes & selection of 7 vegetables, was really tasty.
Owner Karen was so pleasant & helpful & couldn’t do enough to accommodate one of our group who was in a wheelchair.
Highly recommend you visit this pub if in the area.

Nice little country pub, didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food side but the beers were nice. Not dog friendly inside but you can sit outside, not very good if you're eating, just hope for sunshine. Worth a call in if you're passing
Really lovely visit here today. We popped in for lunch. Food was great..Sandwiches with chips were huge. Fish and chips were lovely as was scampi.
We ate twice at the Nags Head while on holiday. The first time we had fish and chips, which was excellent, followed by homemade sticky toffee pudding with homemade ice-cream. All absolutely scrumptious. We also went for Sunday lunch, which was an absolute treat. Everything piping hot, plenty of it and done to a tee. Also decent beer.
Great local pub, book for food. Beer great and locals very welcoming, chips voted by all of us as best we can remember. We did not book ahead but they still fried for us
Lovely small local pub serving home cooked food. The food was delicious and the landlady was absolutely lovely. We went with 2 small children and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and be kind to the children. We will definitely be returning.
Stayed in the local area and found this little gem. Called in 3 times and ate twice. Fantastic couple who run it,friendly locals.....a proper English pub. Sunday lunch was all home cooked, really hot and tasty as was the meal we had on our last night. Wish we lived closer.
