Good chippy, friendly staff and as a bonus ! fish was freshly cooked to order
Good fish and chips, friendly people. Beware though, CASH ONLY.
Pros,
Sausages were nice, chip ok.
Cons,
Very greasy, a few bad chips, portion size inconsistent.
Now the rant, Why do Chippys advertise SPAM fritters then give you no name cheap meat. A tin of spam is £3 and you get 4 decent slices out of it, stop cutting corners.
Talking of slices, I turned mine to look at it from the side and thought it had vanished, seriously impressed with how you can slice meat this thinly. It was also burnt and lacking in batter, about 40% coverage.
Real tasty proper chips and scraps, let down a little bit with the longlife breadcake.
I've normally given 4 or five stars but on this occasion I bought 2 fish butties one was lovely but the other, coincidentally was mine,was dry,all batter, and not tasty. Chips were good mind.
I'd go back and give the benefit of the doubt......
Usually really nice but today the long takes for the fish butties was awful really rubbery couldn't eat them at all the fish was lovely chips nice curry sauce tasted nice but very lumpy the fryer is a very chatty very friendly ad definitely go back ad just not get the long tcakes again
After trying here for the first time I was very impressed.
The fish was very well cooked and not soggy with fat and the chips was spot on.
Great service and as long as the standards are the same you have a loyal customer now.
Always a friendly smile from the young man and Claire.
