This shop has a good selection Asian produce, however... they are known to inflate prices so check your receipt. Additionally We have found that their chiller meat products can be out of date as they are slack on checking sell by dates.. I went in there today with my daughter and found mould on their Chicken Satay Skewers...Not acceptable, certainly won't be shopping there again in a hurry..
MK News is an convenient shop that sells Asian food and snacks as well as British stuff as well like PRIME. Overall it is a tiny shop that is very convenient. The shop is in construction to expand the small building .You can still access the shop even tho it is in construction. Overall I rate 5 out of 5 ????
Saw a mouse or rat in there. Not coming back this is unacceptable

Nice people, especially the Owner Bina. Never had any such problem as suggested by one reviewer on here and that's after a good 17 years of using this place. Friends when they visit me look forward to dropping in to this local shop as it is a treasure trove of Asian treats.
Beware,check your bills as they add variable amounts to your bill depending on how alert you are at the till especially if you are paying by Credit Card,I have used this store for a long time and this is not an issue with the salaried workers,more to do with the husband and wife owners and you will be surprised if you ever knew how little they paid their salaried hands.This is not uncommon in London but its a surprise that they manage to get away with it in Colchester.
Great selection of fresh ginger and turmeric!
Love this shop can get my seasonings and hard food from their instead of travelling all the way bk to east London
