The staff are very nice and the owner seems like a decent bloke, but that doesn’t change the fact that my car was worse after taking it here. It’s been fixed at another mechanic now and feels much better. The mechanic who fixed it (a family friend) showed me all the faults my car had and N G Autos were only able to find one … From this, there are two conclusions we can draw: either their equipment didn’t pick up the other faults OR they caused the other faults. I don’t care which is true, it’s not worth my time perusing them for anything but I’ll be reincarnated into an olive before I return here.
*UPDATE* well well, I took my car to BMW and it turns out that the part fitted to it was not a BMW part and was not fitted properly, which was causing my car to “hesitate” while accelerating and was drinking fuel. Everybody makes mistakes, but when I mentioned to the owner that I was unhappy with the work I wasn’t offered anything (not even an apology). I am not paid to give mechanical advice, so I’ll leave this piece of advice for free (take it or leave it): if you want your car to perform properly and like having your EGR fitting correcting then take it somewhere else.
Great service from these guys. They let me see the faulty nut that had been added and the car felt 100% after a service.
We use this garage for our work vans. The staff are always helpful and try their best to get your vehicle fixed as soon as possible. Prices are good for the area sometimes half the price if more well known garages. Would highly recommend this garage for any work that needs doing on a vehicle
I had a clutch replacement last week and the staff went above and beyond to get it done for me. I have been to the garage many times and the customer service has always been exceptional.
Three separate instances of poor quality work. Diagnosed Steering wheel tilt sensor as faulty, they fitted the new one, still displaying the same error message. Went to another garage and they confirmed it had been fitted 180 degrees out.
They replaced the brakes and hadn’t bled them properly - resulting in spongy brakes that didn’t stop sufficiently. They admitted they were at fault but my argument is that it shouldn’t have left the workshop!
My last visit was for a routine oil service, the car came back dripping a lot of oil. They told me it was just residue from the service but another garage confirmed they didn’t replace the crush washer which meant it wasn’t making a tight seal.
It’s a shame because I like the staff that work there. Having issues three times in a row has meant they have lost my trust and I have had no choice but to go to another garage.
Utterly useless!!!! I had a query via their website and through 6 further emails we finally agreed on a date for me to pop in. Asked them what time to pop in - no response. Called them directly and a guy said that he'll pass on a message to give me call back, I also left my phone number - nobody called back. To me they couldn't care less! If this is how they treat customers I can only imagine how they would treat their work on my car!! Waste of time, don't bother!
Nathan really knows his stuff here and is a great asset to the town. He recently replaced 2 engines for us (unfortunate I know!!) and got our business up and running again. Highly trustworthy, we will definitely use him again for servicing etc, 5*.
Replying to the negative review regarding the bmw you fail to mention that you came back with a recall letter from bmw and seemed to expect a refund for the part that I could not do but I did offer to try for you I also thought from your previous review that your family freind had fixed it for you as for an apology I never recall having no such conversation I’m very sorry you had problems and would like to no how it was fitted incorrectly
