A quiet cafe located just off the main high street. Outside seating available and dog friendly.
A good selection of food available with a specials board. Very reasonable prices.
Full English breakfast was delicious and definitely worth the price.

Traditional cafe/restaurant serving a wide choice of homemade meals, the owner was accommodating and let us leave our luggage in the hallway, prompt pleasant customer service

Delightful, cosy, proper service, proper food, excellent choice of meat and fish dishes, but also where vegetarian meals weren't an afterthought, with a big choice including 'Heaven & Earth pie.' We'll definitely be back.
Visited there on Sunday 17th September, whilst celebrating the 1940’s weekend. We didn’t receive a welcome, received no words of greeting… in fact, no words at all. We (x4) sat down at a table… the owner (elderly chap) did come over to us! Only to lift a reservation plaque into our faces and walk away!!!!
I have never experienced such a rude customer service in my life as we received from this miserable specimen of a man.
We will NEVER visit it again and will go out of our way to discourage anybody else from experiencing such an outrageously rude service.
We were a party of 5 looking to have a nice lunch. We asked were would you like us to sit and got no reply. So we took it upon ourselves to find somewhere to sit but we were told to move to 2 small tables (to sit 4) and we would have to have a chair in the end, apparently it was approaching the "lunchtime rush" and we must have looked like tramps who might only order tap water as they certainly didn't want us to take up much room. Needless to say we left and went somewhere else to enjoy good customer service and great food.
Stopped for a cuppa and tea cake - excellent as evidenced in the photo! Tea served in tea pot with extra bags for a good strength. Dogs even offered water! Do breakfasts and lunches, intend to return for a crab sandwich!
Lovely service by a very friendly team, headed up by the charming owner - been here a few times and always feel very welcome. Food is great value and place is spotless and comfy. Keep it up … will definitely be back.
Good selection of vegetarian, vegan and GF food. All tasted homemade with very friendly service. We will be revisiting soon .
