Don't know how this place is still open, spend days trying to get an appointment to get as far as the receptionist gate keeper who then decides you aren't getting an appointment, so now you have to take yourself to A&E and waste there time only for them to tell you it needs to be your GP you see. Honestly this sorry excuse for a doctors needs to be shut down because what's the point if you can't even get an appointment when you have something wrong. Wish I could rate it 0 stars
Doctors are, and have always been fantastic, the receptionists however have made my experience literal Hell, from the day they made a GP appointment for me during a baby clinic. Knowing full well this was a week after my baby daughter died, having a grieving mum walk into a room full of mums and their babies, a mistake that should never had been made according to my GP at the time. To calling me a liar about an order for prescriptions, saying that I ordered a different pill that I have never had, instead of my usual medicine, and went and listened to the recording only to prove I was right and never apologised. They have deliberately mixed up my prescriptions, make it difficult to get to speak to a GP, even though said GP had told me to contact them whenever I needed. To which I informed the receptionist and they quickly changed their tune.
Again, the GPs have always been amazing, I'd give the doctors 5 star.I have had several GP's over the years, and every GP has been amazing, I have had a great experience with all of them.
The nurses are also fantastic, and I would give the 5 stars.
The problem is even getting past the brick wall of receptionists questions and judgments to even see a Doctor or nurse at all. The receptionists are more like bureaucrats.
Fast forward update - The practice manager Susan is very nice and easy to talk to about any problems thoughts on 31/1/2024 so for that I'll give an extra 2 stars today I'm updating everything they do wrong here Update - The receptionist try and blame me for their mistake acting as if they don't know weather a form needed filled in or a referral trying to get me in trouble with the Dr - Update The receptionist that answered the phone today at around 1 11pm was taken the piss or just acts completely stupid I phoned for hip x-ray results she then acted as through was trying to open the file to let me know( it should have been a doctor) so she wasted time on the phone
I have never had a problem with any of the doctors, nurses and receptionists. I feel all staff are looking out for my wellbeing and make me feel as though I am the only patient in the practice. Everything is explained as often as I need to be reassured. Thank you all for a wonderful, professional and friendly service.
I would give this disgrace of a practice -5 stars if I could. Tried for 2 weeks to get an appointment and its constantly full. They hold you in 2 call queues before you even speak to a receptionist, who might I add are really unprofessional and have hung up on me whilst I was still speaking. This morning I waited patiently in both call queues for half an hour only to be told once again that there's no appointments left. I've been with this practice since the end of last year and still haven't seen a gp or had a single appointment. Will be leaving the practice ASAP. Please do not join this horrible practice. Terrible service and horrible staff.
All I can say is I would personally like to thank Denise (receptionist) for her professional and total understanding of the situation I was explaining to her about my mother.
Just a wonderful member of staff and a credit to her profession.

I know they are struggling at the moment, but that doesn't help when your type 1 diabetic (uncontrolled, least wee thing knocks me off) and told you have to wait 3-4wks on an appt. I know its 3-4wks of hell for me. Also started on new inhaler that was to be reviewed in 4-6wks, omg - couldn't get appt for asthma clinic for 5mnths, ended up worse than before I started attending again (on docs request), my steroid inhaler was completely empty & I didn't know as new inhaler. They are all very nice, pleasantnt, eager to help wen eventually seen docs & nurses. I've been in this practice all my life & would never leave as every practice is the same. #BRINGBACKDRMcLEAN
Excellent doctors, especially Dr Maurer who goes above and beyond her job. I always receive the best care and attention when I visit the practice. Everyone including all the office staff and receptionists are lovely.
