I should’ve written this review months ago. As the saying goes better late than never. Tim and his son at Motech have been, what I would call, exceptional and a real pleasure to work with.
I initially met them when I had a problem with my BMW one series. Rang around. Spoke to a few people, but when I had the conversation with Tim, he was able to diagnose the problem. Identify the cause and tell me without even looking at my car what would be the best solution?
Following day, I brought my car to Tim, and he was able to give a truthful and honest diagnosis of the problem, coupled with the price it will cost to fix the situation.
Unfortunately it is one of those scenarios where the price of the repair didn’t match up the price of what the car was worth. So I ended up doing a part exchange and I swapped my car with Tim for an Audi A3 convertible.
It’s not often you find honest, trustworthy mechanics. Well if you’re struggling to find one, look no further than Tim & Co @ Motech.
Nothing is to much and you’ll get a great service at an unbeatable price, served with a smile and good sense of humour.

Father and son talk to you like they know a lot about your vehicle, but when it comes to working on them it's a different story. I went in with an oil leak. I was told I needed a new set of fuel injectors which would be £3500. When I explained I didn't have that kind of money, it suddenly became just a faulty seal on an injector. My oil level was too high and after an investigation they tried a new oil sensor, which didn't fix it. They then said I'd need a new ECU which would cost £4000. That was enough for me to move on and find someone who was honest and reliable.
Such a helpful and knowledgeable BMW specialist that’s local to me. Helped me out many times over the years with my cars and can’t rate them highly enough. Thanks
Tim and Darren are extremely helpful they couldn't do enough about my car. But sadly the cost of repairs was to much that's the price you pay for modern technology. Keep up the good work. Bill
If I could give less than 1 star I would.
New owners and have no customer service skills or time management skills.
Charge an hourly rate of £90 and take too long to fit simple parts but tell you how much of a pain it was to fit them.
No calls during the day to update ... You will arrive to pick your car up to realise they ha not even looked at it! Because they had problems with other cars and over booked.
Father and son outfit now and honestly I would never let them anywhere near a push bike.

Absolutely the best BMW garage around. Very knowledgeable and they really do give first class service. I have had my 528i repaired twice now and each time a first rate job from them.
Trust me they are good.
New ownership of a great BMW garage. Very professional in their approach, analysis and workmanship complemented by a great team of engineers (ex BMW). Problem found quickly using specialist plug in diagnostics equipment. Realistic labour charge, only limiting factor is having to obtain parts from Woods / Marshalls. All the best with the business, I will be back, hopefully not too soon.
