Took my son's van in for a service. After getting the van back and driving it around for a week or so, we noticed oil on the ground and after opening the bonnet, found that the oil filler cap and coolant filler cap were both missing.
When I told the garage, they claimed they were replaced when the vehicle left them. When the van was taken back into them they told me the 'pressure in the engine had blown the caps off', probably because the head gasket had gone, even though the oil wasn't milky!
An independent inspection by a Ford Transit specialist confirmed that the head gasket is fine and that the filler caps could NOT have blown off and that the garage's claims are complete nonsense and they were trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
You made a mistake so just admit it - don't lie to your customers!

100% recommend this garage..I’ve been a returning customer numerous times and I will not go anywhere else..car failed MOT last month at 12 dinner time..the lads had my car finshed and in for a retest for 4pm the same day.

Excellent service. Right from the 1st contact even though they were shut (due to Covid) through to picking the car up, I can't fault them. The insurance paperwork was done before they reopened meaning the car could be booked in straight away. The job was done efficiently and to a very high standard. I would highly recommend them. Even though the insurance company tried to get me to go to an approved body shop, I'm so pleased I stayed local. Thank you Morris.
