Paid £27 for two medium fish and chips and two cans of coke. We decided to eat in and received Soggy fish and dry chips in a paper tray. Very low value and quality of food for a high price - left us feeling disappointed and to be honest ripped off - wouldn’t recommend and definitely wouldn’t be going back there.
Worst fish quality I have had in a long time. If it was cod was of very poor quality! Very hard! As visitor of a coastal place this is a major disappointment specifically paying restaurant prices!
Great food, great service, reasonable prices. Fish and chips were spot on. Chips not greasy and the batter on the fish super crispy.
Disappointing, fish and chips quite soggy, they also charge extra to eat in however when you need to go to the toilet send you up the street.
Wouldn't recommend.
Not too good. We've been here in the past and had a much better experience. The chips were hard and in bits, only cod was available and the portion size was quite small, and the tartare sauce (which for me is a major part of the experience) was in tiny sachets of a fairly poor quality product. Not recommended.
Other fish & chip shops in the town had a much larger number of customers. Perhaps that tells me something?
We spotted this place after exploring the backstreets of the town and really liked the fish in particular. Chips were nice and the curry sauce was super. The owner took the time to stop and chat which was nice despite being super busy. I'd definitely go there again.
After looking for a chippy this place was the only one which was empty, or atleast 2 or 3 people in, others were so busy we didn't want to wait. I ordered £22 worth of food for the family, tiny portions for everyone, tables and chairs generally sticky and not very clean. Bit of a kick in the face when we left, the kid who served us the tiny portions, I believe was going on his break with a massive portion of chips and sausage, grinning. Unacceptable and therefore won't return at all. Avoid!
Well don't think this place even deserves 1star , worst meal I've ever had. Cold soggy chips, bland rissoles and fishcakes, even the vinegar has been watered down. No wonder the place was empty, all the locals know to keep away. Awful toilet smells coming into the cafe, no soap!! All the staff too engrossed in their mobiles to care about the customers. Definitely not going back.????????
