Best KPortal Reviews

Came here on a whim really wanting to try the gyros...
First impressions were really good when you walk through the door, music playing, really nicely presented and decorated, welcomed and shown a table straight away, plenty of people enjoying really good looking food! We wouldn't wait to get started...
However, once sat at a table a given a menu it just kinda dropped a bit....
We found the menu to be quite confusing... multiple gyro options but no real description of what was what... plate options, non plate options... what was the difference? A little confused we decided on what we wanted.
So, time to order... we waited... and waited for someone to come and take our order but no one came. Eventually my wife had waited long enough a went and ordered at the counter.
We both went for plate options and expected our gyros to come out all nicely made up on plate... what came out was a massive plate of food! I must say, this is where it all went right back up! It looked amazing!! Although, the shear size of it was daunting! The plates were absolutely piled high with food which looked and smelt fantastic!
Now, this is where we found out the difference between the plate and non plate options.... the plate option is a deconstructed gyro... not what we expected but we were not disappointed, neither was our dog when we took him the leftovers! One slight negative comment... lack of sauce! With such an amount of meat, with no sauce offered it was quite dry so we had to pay extra for sauce and I did feel that the cost v amount of sauce received was not great!!
Anyway, whilst eating our way through the mountain of food, another set of customers were seated next to us... and given full table service... leaving us to wonder why we were left waiting to the point of having to go up to the counter??
On the whole, the meal was great, the service was lacking in attentiveness...
It wouldn't stop me from returning but there are many other options available that I might try first.
We were welcomed and seated quickly. But then left to it. Weren't sure if we should go up to order or be served. Went upto order in the end. Menu was a little confusing, weren't really sure what we were ordering. Went for a "plate" pork gyro. So much food came out on one plate! Food was very tasty, there was a lot of meat and would have been nice to be offered more choice of sauce as it was quite a dry dish. Table next to us got seated and offered drink order straight away and then received table service very quickly. Over all a nice meal, music was a little loud for my liking and service could have been a bit better but wouldn't stop me going again. Though I'd probably order something smaller!
Food is fresh and really tasty, not grease. Good values ???? and the restaurant is clean and tidy. Highly recommended ????
Superb authentic Greek food. Fab service too and you get great value for money, for once I feel like we aren't getting ripped off ???? I recommend the mixed gyros plate, WOW! You won't need to eat again for the rest of the day! Don't waste any time, get yourselves there ASAP ????
I’ve already been 3 times since they opened! The food is incredible, the service is very warm and friendly, and it’s such good value for money! Can’t recommend enough!
This magnificent place of dining has revolutionised my attitude to this genre of food, the dining experience, soothed my the calm and peace full music and the increased sense of trust by the open kichen, was absolutely indescribable. It is so amazing even my teachers come here.
I had a falafel and halloumi wrap, food was quick, a little more than I could handle in the end but really tasty!
Visited for the first time for lunch with a friend. I wouldn’t usually choose to eat Greek food however we thought we would check it out being a new local business and knowing of their early misfortune of vandalism. We popped in and we’re greeted, we said we just wanted to look at the menu first before deciding if we wanted to stay, we were given a takeaway menu, the waitress then proceeded to ask us twice if we wanted to sit down. We decided to stay, we weren’t given menus, but despite us holding the one takeout menu we were then asked multiple times in the space of 5 minutes if we were ready to order.
We then ordered, my friend asked for a tap water and I a coke. When the drinks came they bought a bottle of water and my friend had to correct them that she had asked for tap, not bottle water. For food my friend ordered a 5 piece feta filo pastry starter and a main and I asked for the beef and lamb pitta wrap for main (£6.90) (we both also pointed on the menu to the items we wanted).
The starter that was bought to our table was incorrect, it was just a slab of feta, when we tried to explain to the waiter that this wasn’t what had been ordered, he went back to the kitchen and then returned to our table but he wasn’t able to explain why the wrong one had been brought to us, but also said we couldn’t have the starter we ordered, but couldn’t say why they couldn’t provide the correct starter?
The mains then came, mine was pita, salad, beef and lamb kebab and chips, the food was ok, however the kebabs were slightly burnt and the chips underneath were soggy, but I thought it was ok for the price…
We then came to pay and I saw my main was charged at £12.90, I said this wasn’t correct as I had ordered the beef and lamb pitta wrap that was £6.90. I was then told that not what I had, that I had been given the been and lamb plate which was £12.90, I again explained that’s not what I ordered, and said that when I ordered I had even pointed to what I wanted on the menu. I was made to feel as though this was my error, I explained that this was my first time here and I didn’t know the menu or dishes or what to expect so I didn’t know that I hadn’t been given what I ordered. (In hindsight it did seem like a large portion for the price and it wasn’t presented as I expect a wrap normally would be but this didn’t occour to me at the time, I was just hungry!)
Eventually the staff begrudgingly agreed to charge me £6.90 for my main but I was made to feel awful and terribly unwelcome. Such a shame!
Hopefully it’s just new restaurant teething problems!
