Typical Mollies with a wide range of pick and mix and American themed confectionery. I was a bit surprised that in 2023 they still have a minimum card payment (£3.00) in this store.
Been in AGAIN today, I've brought all the nut brittle that was on the self!! Get me and my friends through the winter ???? , Again I was served by a lovely young lady name WENDY she put it I my shopping bag very helpful and we had a laugh I can't see how people don't like the staff!! MOLLY'S see you all next year!! (Get plenty of brittle in!!????????
Wonderful little shop. First sweet shop we've come across that has all vegetarian and vegan items labelled, as well as a number of other dietary requirements. It's clear to see how much time the owner has put into this and it was great to walk around and buy what we wanted safe in the knowledge it was okay for us to eat!
Certainly no shortage of choice if you have a sweet tooth. I'm not a frequent visitor, but have popped in for an ice cream in the warmer months. I've always found consistency an issue, with the ice cream ranging from delicious, to inedible. On one occassion, it was clear the milk they'd added to the mix had gone sour. Popped in a couple of weeks ago and was irritated to find that despite numerous SEL's advertising the pick & mix as 99p per 100g, I was charged £1.20.
It's also worth considering how well your chosen sweets will keep in the display boxes. My wife recently bought me some Turkish Delight, which cost about £3 for 6-7 pieces. Instead of being soft and delicate, they had dried out and now had the consistency of American hard gums.
On the plus side, there are occasionally some bargains to be had if you're happy to hunt for them. I recall consuming far too much chocolate coated & flavours marzipan a while back, simply because they were only 99p a bar.
I always pop in to mollies if I am in the area to pick up some pic'n'mix. I saw they were open and wondered what the new procedure was with the sweets, they still have all the usual goodies but they are bagged in to 180g bags that are £1.99 each or 3 for £5, they also have a few mixed bags that are all different and have different things in, all the bags had something I wouldn't normally pick in them but I got 2 mixed bags and a bag of chocolate covered bananas and I am tucking into them as I type. They have done their best considering the current circumstances
Helpful, friendly staff, huge range of chocolate, sweets and other yummy stuff!
Almost too much to choose from!
Took my autistic son in. Ladies picked up on this straight away. She put the train on that goes round the ceiling. Then she put music on to. He loved it in there filled three bags of pick and mix. Did get warned it will cost a bit. I didn't care as my son was happy and she went out of her way to be nice. My partner then took are other two in filling another four bags.
Can't wait to see you again in September. You are on are list to see again. The whole shopping area is so nice and clean
Small shop but plenty of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff
