Best KPortal Reviews
Food is excellent, the service is even better! As someone relatively new to experiencing African food, I was unaware that pounded yam traditionally is paired with a soup (I had it with rice because it's filling after a gym session).
Esther, the lovely lady who served me, said pounded yam is meant to be eaten with a soup and gave me a complimentary Okro dish to try, it was delicious! Amazing food & service, will definitely be back
If I could give 0/5 I would the rice was burnt out after spending £45 I received porridge pounded yam egusi was horrible ! I got the worst food posinoning next morning .i drove very far to get it only to get such food ! If I could get a refund I would cause everything went into the bin .Lady was nice customer service great but the food ! It’s a no wouldn’t recommend .COULDNT GO BACK AS L LEAVE 45 minutes away !! BUT WOULD HAVE WANTED A REFUND
I ordered two bowls of whole tilapia pepper soup with plantain through Deliveroo but what I got was a tiny spoilt baby fish in each bowl. I had to bin the food. What a waste of money and time. Stay away from this restaurant!!!
The worst food ever eaten so bad. I’ll never recommend!! Refund will be better ???? very watery I need a refund £17.33
This is my second time ordering the Abula. The first time wasn’t great, the stew/abula tasted weird (let’s not even go into the delivery). I only ordered again because I was given a discount code due to the negative experience.
This time around the food tastes decent. However the delivery time was atrocious. I placed my order 4.40pm and the food arrived 6.30pm. I called the restaurant to find out what was causing the delay and was told it was due to issues with their driver etc. Either way I wasn’t pleased at all. If I didn’t call to query they wouldn’t have updated me on their end. There is room for improvement service wise & I look forward to a much better experience in the future.
We were craving Abula (Amala, Gbegiri and ewedu) and were not disappointed with the food. it was on point, couldn't ask for more. Customer service was top class. Esther the attendant was friendly and supportive all through, even the chef came to speak with us to find out how we were getting on with the food, if there were any concerns whatsoever, thankfully not. You don't see chef coming out to check feedback, definitely not in an African restaurant. Good food all round and we even had to buy a takeaway for a friend, that was how much we enjoyed the food.
We will definitely come back and will recommend it to friends.
If I could give a 0 or a negative I would.
Unfortunately being a nigerian business, this one seems to follow the same.poorly managed path that the others do with such impunity.
We placed an order right after speaking with a member of staff on the phone.
She advised to order via uber eats and I placed the order within minutes.
Had to drive about 25 minutes to pick up as there was no delivery available to our area.
On getting to the restaurant my husband was told that the order had been cancelled because they are short staffed in such a casual manner as though it didn't matter.
No one had the decency to contact us immediately after the order was received to let us know that they couldn't fulfil the order.
It ls such a shame this extremely poor level of customer service and mode of running a business is what Naigerian businesses continue to offer.
If you're short staffed then make sure all your sales channels clearly state this and don't lead the customer on/waste their time.
Ordered a take-away ABULA. The stew and gbegiri didn’t taste nice at all. Ordered assorted meat in the stew, I could count the tiny supposed meat being added to the stew; it wasn’t worth it at all
The only good thing about the order was the Amala, which was well made and soft.
AGAIN, I ordered peppersoup today online, after anticipating it’s delivery, my order got cancelled by the store for some weird reason. Just very disappointing!
Overall, space is too small and not aesthetically pleasing- exactly why I had to take my order outright
UPDATE!!
I decided to give you another chance but this time, I had a worse experience. I ordered for a plate of peppersoup to be delivered. At first, you were on about being out of fish when you infact had it on your available menu. I do appreciate that you called to give me the update and then I decided to go with assorted goat meat peppersoup.
Omg!!!! It was awful! The peppersoup was so salty that I couldn’t take any other spoon after the first.
Can’t begin to express how disappointed that was and still feels like, omg
