Visted for the first time after it was recommended, and I can not speak highly enough about it! Melina's does a wonderful selection of cakes, fantastic coffee and I will be dreaming about the bruschetta until my next visit.

Not your normal cafe menu, beautifully presented, tasty and clearly fresh ingredients. The raclette was divine and the avocado with feta and chilli flakes on sourdough was delicious. Don't even get me started on the cakes!!

I love my coffee. As a professional food writer, restaurant reviewer and former barista, Milena's is undoubtedly ONE OF THE BEST small, independent coffee shops in the South West. The coffee (bean to cup process therefore impossible to 'stew') is robust and bold - just the way it should be! Food is exceptional - including but not limited to the bruschetta, nachos, apple almond cake, salted caramel brownies, orange polenta cake and best selling Basque cheesecake. Service is always super friendly and welcoming. This coffee shop is like a big warm hug. For regular patrons such as myself, owners Milena and Will (chef and former baker) have created a culinary treasure in Budleigh.

A little hidden gem just off the high street! Lovely Basque cheesecake which is a dessert you don't often see with a good balance of tart cheese and sweetness, served with some lovely fresh berries. Tea (with a teapot!) & coffee were also tasty. We visited when it was raining, but there is a outdoor seating area with a few bistro sets. Chilled vibe and an awesome selection of cakes. We noticed that brunch is served until 3pm as well, so that's on the list of things to do!
Five of us stopped for tea and cake ???? on a quiet Sunday afternoon and it was all PERFECT! We had an orange polenta cake, amazing basque baked cheesecake, red velvet and a Sicilian lemon tart - all properly home-baked by Milena. Really good tea too. Top marks all round.
