Happy friendly staff that always do the best for their customer. Customers happiness comes first. Which is very rare these days! Would highly recommend this lovely fish and chips. They are the best in town!
Excellent chunky size fish, cooked while you wait pensioners meal always plenty. clean and always friendly. If you go make sure you have cash as they don't do card transactions. Well worth a try,

Friendly service, but portion sizes are small! I ordered a large chips and it was very small, so I dread to think how small a small is!!
Visited in early afternoon yesterday for takeaway fish and chips. Both were cooked while I waited. So refreshing to have freshly cooked food unlike other shops which give you fish and chips that have been sitting around for a while.
The chips were cooked to a light brown too rather than still white and had a lovely flavour. The batter on the fish was nice and crispy too.
Only one male member of staff in the shop who was friendly and chatted while I waited.
Excellent all round and I will certainly be visiting again.
Took the family out to visit the pier, only to find out it was closed. So with miserable kids and two dogs we were made very welcome here (dogs as well) we all loved the food. And staff all lovely. One thing we made a mistake of is on the menu it has two sections, we only glanced and the first and ended up with 2 burgers and chips and 2 sausages and chips to ourselves. On the reverse of the menu is the usual 1 sausage etc. Full to say the least.:) Will Def visit again next time we're that way.
Beautiful fish, not oily or greasy, plenty of filling in the pies and no gristle, one portion chips will do two people, curry sauce not too spicy and also do gravy, battered sausages and plain, savaloys, you will never go hungry for choice with micks ????????????
