Great food,friendly staff and a welcoming staff. Mem and his staff make everyone feel special and it's a pleasure to go there. A small cod and chips ???? each is almost too much for my wife and I to eat,very generous portions.

After visiting this shop previously for a lunch time sausage and chips which didn't disappoint, I was looking for cheesy chips in Tunbridge Wells and seeing the new price increased menu of Royal Express (the kebab shop on the hill) I decided to pop down the road to No1.
£3.20 for a medium cheesy chips filled me with joy. Crispy chips, melted decent cheese and a fantastic portion size was delivered. I will be returning again soon!
Really nice fish and chips. The service however is what separated Mem from most of the other fish and chip shops. He is a passionate and friendly owner who knows his fish. He takes pride in his work and you can tell he loves what he does.
Lovely food every time. Big portions and always fresh. Friendly staff who always make me and my daughter feel very welcome when we come in.

All 5 star reviews are fake- beware! Always Be aware when the English language is not used correctly. I posted my comment and this guy got back to me instantly. How would he have time to do this?.
Very very disappointed went in as was round corner from where I'm cat sitting ordered battered burger chips and curry sauce. Burger was not cooked still pink inside curry sauce was cold. Chips was nice. Woman was on own and taking orders from online as well.
Men is lovely. We had cod and chips. Crunchy fish and not greasy. The chips could have been cooked a bit longer.
