we’ve been using this chemist for about 10 years so we are very loyal, we have had a few issues with this chemist such as : my very ill disabled mum had ordered a repeat prescription only to have the wrong medication inside! the box was correct although the medication inside was not, my mum has low blood pressure and she was given medication to lower blood pressure which would have killed her had she not noticed their mistake. i myself have also witnessed a worker having to go into the back room to tell staff to stop messing about and laughing as there was a long queue, i have witnessed racism. a white woman was saying there was only 2 normal workers in today (2 white women) and there was also a coloured man. they are rude and obnoxious and unprofessional. my mum has rang them to see where her medication she ordered a week ago was and the worker was rude, unprofessional and put the phone down on her.
I’ve always had bad experiences here but today was the worst. I got an accusatory phone call saying I had left the pharmacy without paying for one of my prescriptions last week. Once I had challenged back and said I had paid and told them how much I had spent, I abruptly got put on hold for a minute. Once off hold I was told I was correct and had in fact paid… only to be hung up on 2 seconds later after a half hearted apology.
My recommendation: I’d avoid at all costs and travel further to a nicer pharmacy!
Shockingly awful levels of ‘customer service’. Absolute disorganised chaos every time I go in there. Staff & manager seems to think that it’s ok for customers to wait around all day, manager is rude & no wonder they have such a high staff turnover. Despite it being local, will not be using again.
Absolutely dreadful service from a place we rely on for much needed medication, went in to collect medication, assistant checked on the screen and took great delight in telling me that NO it hadn’t come through from the surgery and I needed to go back to the surgery to check. I returned to surgery to be told yes it had been sent over 2 weeks ago and they would put through another script then I would have enough meds. On returning to the shop the next day I was confronted by the same assistant who then said that it wasn’t on the screen and that she had checked all the boxes and checked with the pharmacist the previous day - a blatant lie which I found insulting, the pharmacist came through and guess what found it straight away on the screen - no apologies from either of them, he made up the second script and said I would have to be prepared to wait for them to find the previous meds but as I was in so much pain I just wanted to get home and take my medication.
I have heard quite a few bad reports about this pharmacy and now understand why, do they not realise that we don’t collect medication for the fun of it but because we need to and without our custom they wouldn’t have their jobs!
Rang the pharmacy for the first time today so didn't know what to expect- incredibly patronising and left me feeling quite shook up if I am honest. The man on the phone came across very aggressive when I asked a simple and friendly question about a prescription. Don't feel comfortable ringing them again let alone going into the pharmacy. We've all had a tough year and I understand no job is easy but there was no excuse for the way I was spoken to today.
I called the pharmacy this morning after being referred by my GP. The man who answered the phone was very aggressive and patronising, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. So much so that I ended the conversation and sought help elsewhere. A little kindness really does go a long way, especially when dealing with people that might be not be feeling well or are in pain. I will certainly not be using this pharmacy again!
I put my prescription for a repeat into my doctors 7am Tuesday. They verified they had received it and sent in to the Pharmacy Wednesday morning, it is now 1620hours Friday and no prescription has arrived. There is no answer when I call on the phone. Totally disgusted
Contrary to the other posts on here I found the staff and Pharmacist very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant when I popped in today. Thanks for your excellent help. Will definitely use again.
