Lovely freshly cooked fish, which was a very generous portion. We had a small portion of chips between 2 of us and there was more than enough! Only issue is it is cash only so we had to go to the town to a cash point. First time I've used in a long while, I believe it has changed hands, it is clean and looks well kept. I would definitely use the place again.
We've been coming here for a while and always really enjoy the food. The staff are lovely, the portions are huge and they're open on Sundays!

We tried this chippy for the first time on a Sunday and it was GOOD FOOD!
I had a large cod & chips and the cod was BIG! It was more like whale & chips. The batter was delicious and not greasy too.

Ordered delivery from here last night via UberEats. My first issue is that, according to the app, our food was out of the restaurant for delivery for 30 minutes and when it arrived, the driver didn't have the insulated bag zipped up on his back seat, so our food was freezing. I appreciate it isn't the restaurant's fault that we weren't willing to pay the extra delivery fee to be the first drop on the route, but it's something to bare in mind when ordering. Further to this our chips were DISGUSTING. They were inedible in every way, looking to me like they'd been cooked in old oil that needed changing. They were slimy, spongey and brown, and both myself and my partner didn't bother eating them. Won't be ordering from here again.
Ordered food to be delivered on Friday and told it would take about 50 minutes. Two hours later we called as no sign of it and told 'they were busy'! which I understand, but felt our expectations should have been managed better. They then hung up on us - not great customer service! An hour later the food arrives...of course we politely declined! We had bought fish and chips from elsewhere and had long finished...
