I've visited this pharmacy three times. Once to pick up an item, someone was there who'd been given the wrong prescription and someone else cross because they were waiting for ages in. The second time the pharmacist diagnosed my daughter with ringworm, it wasn't ringworm it was dermatitis. I sought a second opinion as it looked nothing like ringworm and got the appropriate cream elsewhere.
This time I went in as i had trauma to one of my toes. It has a large purple bruise and is possibly fractured, the NHS website states no X-ray is indicated and to see a pharmacist (treatment is the same regardless if it's bruised or fractured unless it's severe.) Pharmacists should be able to provide splinting material and advice.
When I eventually spoke to the pharmacist (who'd didn't even have the courtesy to take me into the consultation room, I had to balance on one foot whilst holding my child to show him my toe!) He told me it wasn't bruised, I showed him again and he just said "oh." I then reiterated I wanted material to splint my toe and he offered me plasters designed for corn removal. He then told me to go to A&E for an x-ray.
It's been a few hours and I've seen a private GP who confirmed an x-ray isn't necessary unless I really want a diagnosis as the treatment is the same. She then advised splinting the toe and told me how to do it, which should have been advice he gave instead of rudely smirking at me telling me my toe wasn't bruised.
It really should be within the competency of a pharmacist to diagnose ring worm and give advice for non-urgent matters. No wonder A&Es are completely rammed when places that are contracted and paid to deal with minor complaints fob people off to use an emergency service. I will never step foot I this pharmacy again!
Every time I go in there to collect my prescription they give me the wrong brand! Never apologise and make me feel an inconvenience. This something my gp has asked for and not me being fussy. SO FED UP WITH THEM....
Terrible pharmacy, they are so rude. On their hours it doesn’t say they close for lunch but they do anyway at random times. They put a stupid sign saying back in 20 min. No one knows when the 20 min started because they are so vague. 6 people all came to the pharmacy and said the same thing: their note is unhelpful. If they close for lunch (which they can) put it in your trading hours like every other organisation so people know. I drove 20 min to come here because it said it was open. The lady on the phone was so rude- I couldn’t believe it. Why does no one hold them accountable.
If you’re going to close for lunch - then put it in your trading hours!!! A lot of people only have the chance to pop to the pharmacy in their lunch break, so very unhelpful when you arrive and there’s a sign saying ‘Closed for lunch’. If you have a couple staff working at the same time then why not stagger lunch breaks to avoid the need to close…….
Lovely friendly staff and brilliant pharmacist,..so can't understand ???? the reviews saying that the staff are rude??? I've been going understand there for over 3 years and they are always so friendly and helpful..
Very helpful when not to busy. They helped me out with deliveries during the pandemic. Which I will forever be grateful. Nice people.
Just had a rather weird experience at the pharmacy. I think the people there have a tendency to be judgemental. I was buying some ibuprofen gel for my child on the advice of my doctor, but because it was not recommended for under 12s, the pharmacist told me ‘you can’t buy that for her’. She really intimidated me, it felt like I was being told off. They can dispense advice but nothing more. I’d already listened to them, listened to my doctor, got caught in the middle, and made my own decision. I am a competent parent who is not stupid, don’t tell me what I can and can’t do for my child! It just really wound me up. They could be more self aware in how they speak to people.
Always get told they are on lunch and to call back after 2, today it’s 11:50 and they have advised the same thing. Who takes a 2 hour lunch? Despite that, you can’t get a word in edgeways before being cut off. Really rude.
