If you’re hungry, don’t go here! Really slow service and when the food and drink do eventually arrive, it’s not worth the price you pay. Left under heat lamps for too long and arrives over cooked. It wasn’t busy when we arrived but felt like the staff were rushing around like headless chickens.
For the price you pay, roughly £60 for a family of 4, the food isn’t the quality you’d expect for that price.
Really disappointing, one to avoid!
We have been going to Combe haven Hastings for over 15 years now.
And touch wood mash and barrel meals have been lovely no complaints
Great value for money and great staff and service.
We have a meal every time we go.
I love the fish and chips it's really all I have.
But family members and grandchildren love the selection of meals available for them.
Terrible just go to burger king -- The kids Sausage,Chips and beans was served with 2 cocktail sausages. 10 chips and 12 beans. 18 of us eat all ordering different meals
and I would say generally they where all on par with an iceland frozen ready meal. nothing looked or tasted appetising, maybe on par with a prison.
Service was terrible, we had to basically talk the waitress through her Ipad. Drinks where wrong a few times.
I wasn't really expecting much from first glance to be fair, maybe the same as the weatherspoons which would of been fine, but it was so bad just avoid.
Each time I've eaten here it's been horrific regardless of the location. Expensive slop I can't give a low enough rating. Staff are generally very nice though to be fair.
The food was good when we finally got it. Service was slow. The staff did not seem to know what they were doing. Run by kids. Extra training needed especially on communication and giving change.
Kinda got what I expected when I saw the place, average service, average food, my wait times weren't as bad as other reviews have stated apart from when you use the Haven Serve app service is much slower takes longer to come like it isn't being monitored.
Family meal, for four two adults two children, cost £80! Had to wait 50mins for are food, parents shouting at there kids lots of staff that didnt seem to know what they was doing, food came out all wrong all looked like kids meals! Wont be going back there again
Most probably one of the worst restaurants to visit on a resort.
The staff take ages to greet you, when they do it’s hit and miss whether they give you an actual menu or just ask you to order on the app. They say you can order with the waitress but every single one of them just completely ignore you.
Weirdly enough, they seem to clear all the tables for customers coming into the restaurant but provide 0 service to those already within the restaurant.
We ordered on the app because after waiting 15 minutes for any kind of service we just done it that way.
If you have any intolerances you can’t remove ingredients from items . You can upgrade such as chips instead of crisps etc but they don’t cater at all for intolerances on the app.
I ordered a sandwhich (basically everything comes with cheese)
I went up to the bar to be told to go and find a waitress to discuss allergies etc. I had to flag one down who wanted me to show them the physical order on the app to go and tell the chef.
Oh and if you do somehow order with a waitress (after getting up to locate one) they seem to say to use the app rather than with them. They then ask you to pay at the bar and you can’t pay with them even though other tables from different waitresses got given the bill so they physically don’t want you to order with them even though they are carrying around tablet devices to order the food and drink orders.
The food itself at breakfast is definitely questionable and not that pleasant
The food at lunchtime is better and they have good deals on at the time of this review.
The service to actually get the food is extremely long. Well over 30 minute wait for a few sandwiches when the restaurant is pretty much empty.
They definitely need to look into the service and update the app but you can tell because of the service that’s why not many people seem to go in.
