Stopped here for a drink whilst out for a ride on my bike. What a great pub. Love the atmosphere here. Saw some Vets there who were very friendly. Will definitely go again.
A definite must visit. A beautiful traditional untouched public house. Plus with a lovely warm hospitality. This is going to be our 2nd local drinking house.
After a topsy-turvy post covid history, we finally have a great pub again! with a serious pint of Guinness drawn through well cleaned pipes with proper tulip glasses ????.

Traditional, unchanged old pub, town centre location, quirky and full of character. Excellent selection of real beer from a local brewery. Outside seating on the market square and in a small back garden.
This place used to be great, went to car show this wked,spent fri/mon in the town been before and had a really good experience. Now it would appear that only very Loud big mouth locals get served when they just barge to front of que on pretex off chatting to other people. Maybe more staff serving would have helped. But saying that it's only a small place not used to coping on busy show days. Dispite being charged differant price every time went bar would have bought more proper beer.
My old local when I lived in the town. Always loved it, open fire, occasionally live music, great gardens in the summer. Friendly and welcoming. Glad to see it seems to be doing well again. Oh and a well kept pint...sorry I'm a larger girl.
Lovely pub, can't comment on the food as didn't have any. Good atmosphere and great service
