I bought two fillet steaks today at the Butchers in Market House Garstang. As the price of fillets are expensive I buy them only for special occasions. It was our first buy here after a recommendation from friends. We were very disappointed in the quality of the fillets. My husband and I both remarked how the were chewy. And I’m sure as can be seen from the attached photo that it’s not normal to have this amount of fillet of beef left over that was inedible.
Market House in Garstang is Truly a Great little Gem hidden on Garstang's Main Street of Shops. The businesses located inside are Great & have a excellent range of products on sale here. It is all locally produced & sourced.
Plenty of variety in the Market House. 70 varieties of mostly local cheese, locally sourced meat and homemade cakes to die fo, fruit & veg, plants.
We bought 2 gammon joints we have bought them there before they're very good
The Market House is a food hall open from Wednesday to Saturday every week selling local meat, cheese, fruit and veg and bakery produce.
