We used Marchand Petit for the recent sale of our house. Tom Fallaize gave us valuable local information at the outset which was very helpful. We were also impressed by MP’s efficiency in giving us ample advance notice of viewings and objective feedback after each viewing. Having Nicky Churchill, Sales Negotiator, on the team was was particularly useful as a point of contact, source of guidance during a difficult selling period and effective liaison with both sets of solicitors.
I purchased a house locally via MP and was disappointed with the service offered.
Essentially this was because of the following :
- viewings were only offered when we had sold
- viewings themselves were little more than opening the door, generally no walk around/advice on the property was offered
- we were advised a Devon covenant on one property could be easily removed which when querying with our solicitor were told it most certainly could not
- once we had our offer accepted, the communication from MP was almost none existent as they assumed we were going directly to the house seller
- I requested a regular update from MP regards the sales progress, sadly this was not forthcoming
- when we did actually exchange contracts, MP rang us to advise of such the week after

I spent over a year trying to deal with house sale. Fell through at the last moment twice. Eventually I changed to Marchand Petit and they concluded the sale in a very short period. Very professional, sufficient staff to be able to manage the process properly, and the degree of due diligence that you should be able to expect from professionals in this field.
