Unfortunately cant give a 0 and rate, so have to be a 1. Very amateur. Staff not wearing hair nets! Disorganised, hardly busy when ordered. Fish was practically non existent, fish batter disappeared with the paper. Chips all stuck together and tasted oily, like tainted sour taste. They seemed to be day old chips re cooked in old oil.
Battered sausage barely cooked, very grey and watery. Totally over priced for just fish, reg chips and battered sausage. Totally avoid!
Poor experience. The staff lacked any social skills. The food wasn't much better. The calamari wasn't edible. The 1 bonus was how cheap it was. I don't recommend at all.
A lovely little place the restaurant was nice and clean and tidy. The portions are huge. And worth the money. Just be aware there are steps down to the restaurant.
Nice enough food, people pleasant but, it needs a damn good clean, condiments, tables etc all very greasy. Not sure where the fire exit for underground restaurant is, assuming door in photo but, not signed - not clever obstructing with table and chairs
After a nice morning in Horncastle looking at the shops and a pleasant walk by the river, we decided to get some chips the fish was very over priced so just settled for the chips, they were a mixture of colours from white to dark brown obviously poorly cooked and very oily and greasy yuk!! Afterwards we went to complain very arrogant staff they didn't want to know just kept saying have a nice day. I consider this establishment a let down to to Horncastle, AVOID THIS PLACE.

Passing through Horncastle searched local fish and chip shops and came up with this one. Asked for large fish and chips to be told don't have large fish. Got handed what I would class as a kids meal where I'm from. Very expensive for smallest fish and portion of chips. Not great but once bitten twice shy as the saying goes
After a long journey we stopped off for our first try at this shop. 5 minute drive to our caravan. We opened them to find a greasy mess. Sloppy batter stuck to the paper which wasn't edible and a pile of mushy greasy chips. For £15 they should have been alot better.
