I'm so happy that such a different place is open in Bedford and finally, I had a chance to check it. Very professional service, amazing coffee and tasty raspberry croissant! Strongly recommend this place. I'll definitely come back soon. We had a quick chat with owner and looks like there is more to come. Fingers crossed for all plans! ????
Lovely, simple and flavoursome sandwiches and great coffee, however the pecan pie had a soggy bottom and the service was not very attentive. The man behind the counter would rather be on his phone than serve customers and the waitress standing behind the counter eating a sandwich. Would be fantastic if the service matched the food
I had heard about this cade on the local radio and, loving French pastries, I had to give it a try. When we arrived it was very busy, so we waited on one of the benches on Silver Street. When a table came free one of the staff came to tell us, which I found was a lovely touch.
The food was amazing, the drink delicious and the atmosphere was lovely.
It is nice to find another independent cafe in Bedford, rather than a chain. And I look forward to making this a regular Saturday haunt ????
I don’t love love their coffee, but their pies and other bakery goods are EXCELLENT! Staff and owner are super friendly, a great addition to Bedford’s food scene!
Feels a nice vibe sitting in there, having a read and a pecan pie :-)
Wasn't sure if was counter or table service so I waited for a member of staff to take me on and waited an waited. When I eventually asked it took quite a while to be served despite there only being 12 others in the cafe (half of whom had already been served). The tiny mocha and croque struggled to fill a side plate which, given it cost over £10, did not feel like value for money. The mocha was also the worst I'd ever tasted. I wish this review was better and I hope others enjoy the new cafe as Bedford high st needs good new business but I don't think I'll be back.
French coffee shop, staffed and run by real french people, greeted in french. Tables set out like you're in a french cafe watching the people go by, coffee in a glass with a croissant. The full experience! Loved it and brightened up our day!
These are the best pastries I've ever had, and the coffee is equally delightful with their own branded beans. The presence of a changing room for babies is a significant plus. I highly recommend it. Keep in mind, weekends tend to be busy with longer waiting times, so I suggest enjoying the pleasant atmosphere on weekdays.
Had a lovely lunch here with my mum and sister. Baguettes were lovely on fresh crunchy bread. The cheesecake was delicious and creamy. Staff were so friendly! Will definitely be back!
