Very disappointed. Long story short. This garage was fixing my car around 1 year ago. They changed battery and few more things. After changing battery car was not wanting to start. I went back there few times they was just recharging the battery. Because of my situation a left car how it was and stopped driving for a year. And now because i want to use car again my husband changed battery by himself and we found out the battery from Madeira garage was to small!!!! Each time I was going there to tell them car again not working they where saying I need to run the car every 2 days if not it will keep happening. Not because battery was wrong.Funny is I was given them 20 pounds extra each time they recharge the batteries. True is they did not ask for extra money but they also did not say no I don't want.Also what really make me upset after we changed battery ouerself car running perfect so I booked appointment for MOT test yesterday and I failed because job which Madeira garage did. They put front wheels on the wrong way inside was outside. And I was needed to pay extra to put them on the right way.I couldn't believe it. I lost money because of them. I'm very disappointed and upset because I lost money because of them. They own me this money!!!
Been coming here for well over a decade now. I have been using them when they were at Old Bethnal Green road, before moving to Whitechapel.
I know Roy & Pita very well, they give honest advice and very fair prices for repairs & bodywork if necessary. Yesterday I needed repair work and MOT. I spoke to Roy and he sorted it out. Roy charged me a very reasonable price for repairs & MOT £50 which is standard.
I am very happy with the job and fair charges I wouldn't go anywhere else!
So I've changed my review to 1 star. not even 1 star should be given to this mechanic. After taking a lot money to fix car, they did a botched job! If I went on motorway i would have died! and possibly killing others. ,it was so unsafe done! I'm in shock! they didn't use right torque setting on the drive shaft nuts, so they worked itself loose and destroyed the hub,break disc, break pads, break calliper and the drive shaft which they replaced and they didn't put in correctly. to rectify this issue, which is now costing me 2k in repairs! not trusting again. ever again. they slacking with jobs now getting to comfortable.
I was informed by a helpful biker when my tyre was flat to go here to get it pumped.
When I arrived I was given a friendly welcome, they took a look at my tyre right away, cleaned it, oiled my chain and explained what the issue is and how to fix it. I waited around to pay and when I eventually was asked if I needed anything else, I asked to pay and they said “No pay for favours”.
They helped me out when I was in need and did not ask for any money at all.
Absolutely amazing guys.

He fixed my car window that would not close due to an electrical fault.
And I wasn't even his customer!
I had parked my car to go to my doctors appointment when I realised that the drivers window wouldn't go up. I spent about 20mins in the middle of the road desperately trying to fix it.
Then this man stopped to help me. In less than a minute he managed to fix the issue and put the window up so I made it to my appointment on time. Thank you Pita or Roy...our world need more people like you!
Pita at Madeira is friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy, and charges a fair price. Has always done good work on my car. Great to find a relaible mechanic. Does all sorts. Specialises in body work.
Since moving to E1 , I have been using Madeira mechanics for nearly 8 years they are very reliable honest and never rip you off! 100% genuine people.
