De passage à Carcassonne, nous étions en recherche d'un lieu pour bruncher le dimanche. Et quelle joie d'être tombée sur Madame Teapot ! Le lieu est atypique, face au canal du Midi, on frappe à une porte rouge et notre hôte nous accompagne jusqu'au salon privatisé. Au menu : déjeuner typiquement irlandais, avec des œufs, du jambon braisé, du saumon fumé, du chorizo roti et des patates sautées, arrosés de jus d'orange frais et d'un thé irlandais. Les scones font offices de dessert.
Tout est délicieux : de la déco atypique, à la cuisine en passant par Eileen ! Ce fut un vrai régal de partager un moment avec elle et chez elle
Généreuse et désireuse de nous faire découvrir ses préparations. Une personne joviale et agréable ! Des spécialités maison qu'on prend plaisir à découvrir.
Un merveilleux brunch servit par une adorable hôte dans ce lieux atypique.

I have just had a friends and family preview of Eileen’s new traditional Sunday lunches…absolutely fabulous. She starts doing them on February 5. She only has room for 12 people and you have to book. Food is amazing…loads of tasty meat, veg and Yorkshire puddings. We were meant to have desert…but we had no room in our tummies!
Went for Sunday lunch, it was superb, Prawn cocktail, or smoked salmon pate or tomato and parmesan crumble. Followed by roast beef, or roast stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon,served with yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, spinach, peas and cauliflower cheese and home made gravy. To finish either sherry trifle, pavlova or strawberry shortcake. Well worth a visit.Looking forward to the next time.
What a gem! A warm welcome and fabulous home made food. Went for afternoon tea and returned next day for the brunch of full Irish breakfast. Not to be missed you need to book.
The first proper bacon, sausages and black pudding we've been able to get in France. A great cup of tea and the most friendly welcome.
We walked out of Madame Teapot's with a box full off freshly baked scones too. Highly recommended to any expats or fans of Irish or English cooked breakfasts.
